Randall
December 11, 2006, 13:29 Lions :: RB Lions Fear The Worst For RB K. Jones Nicholas J. Cotsonika, Detroit Free Press - The Detroit Lions fear that RB Kevin Jones has a Lisfranc injury – a mid-foot injury that requires surgery and a lengthy recovery time. He is flying to see a specialist in Charlotte, N.C. The fear is that he may be out all through next season. LB Teddy Lehman returned from a Lisfranc injury in early November after surgery and a year of rehab. He still has pain and stiffness. Jones suffered the injury in Sunday’s 30-20 loss to Minnesota, when he tried to punch the ball into the end zone and ran into a wall of defenders. Fantasy Jesus
Rotoworld . . . MLive.com has confirmed that Kevin Jones has a "full blown" Lisfranc fracture/dislocation that will take at least six months to recover from. He will have surgery in the next 3-5 days, which shows that this injury is more serious than similar injuries that Brian Westbrook and Brian Dawkins had earlier in their careers. It's a fracture, not a sprain. Some estimates say that it could take a year to fully recover. Source: MLive.com

BigTen
It simple, the Lions are cursed. It starts with the guy who died on the field in the 50's. You then have A. Andelsack (spl) who was run over by a truck while cutting his lawn, M. Utley (broken neck), R. Rbrown from T A&M (broken neck), B. Boyd (forced to retire due to neck injury I believe) and now this. Plus they are owned by the worst owner ever and as a reult of that they lose B. Sanders and get Millen who is stuck in Detroit like a zebra mussel. What is next? CaptainHook
Wow. Your team must have sucked for quite a while. Three championships in 6 years. Did finish next to last after one championship though. Lots of trades. I'm a trading fool.

J.D.Morrison
Boy, this looks bad......he may never be the same again What is the treatment of a Lisfranc injury? Longterm diagnosis: Healing is complicated in patients who sustain a Lisfranc injury. The most common complication of the Lisfranc injury is post-traumatic arthritis of the joint. Post-traumatic arthritis mimics degenerative arthritis, but its course is accelerated because of severe injury to a joint. This can lead to chronic pain in the injured joint, and may necessitate fusion of the joint in order to prevent chronic debilitating pain. Another complication is called a compartment syndrome. The compartment syndrome occurs when traumatic injury causes swelling and bleeding to raise the pressure within the tissues of your body. If the pressure is raised sufficiently within a restricted area, the vascular supply to that area may become compromised, and this can lead to serious complications. They're like Rudolph when his fake nose keeps popping off and the nose starts that sorta siren noise while everyone makes jokes.
