You should be.  He isn't a very good quarterback.

Yeah, based on his first year of REAL games, all the records he broke, his 15-1 starting record, I'm disappointed so far. :D He has looked badly so far this pre-season, but everyone needs to calm down.

I think you might be kidding yourself a little bit here. I don't think he's a BAD QB, but he ain't a world beater by any stretch. The Steelers ran the ball for 6/10 plays last year and did it extremely well. They also took zero risks with the passing plays - they didn't need to. Ben's stats from last year show Boller-like passing yards.

Roethlisberger broke no records last year, the Steelers did - and they just happened to have him collecting the ball from the center.

Highest QB % and Completion % by a rookie QB. Those are Ben's records. I understand the talk that it was all the team last year, but I watched every play, and Ben was a HUGE reason why they were so successful last year. His ability to improvise, his accuracy, and his ability to play well in the 4th Quarter were all extremely impressive. However, this pre-season he has looked :D

Fair enough, he does have his name in the record books, it's true. I do think the Steelers simply asked him to not lose - those completed passes were pretty short - and much credit needs to go to the O-line, the coaches, the runners and others, but it'll be a long time before his name gets overwritten by somebody elses.

I still say he was darn lucky to be in exactly the right place at the right time...... :D
