Whiskey Pimp
Do you have to start 1,3,3 or is that just what you typically do?
MrTed46
typical and the best via scoring system
tonorator
i don't see it. the lesson learned from the 1st 6 weeks is that indy is not the same team as last year. brunell with a bye is on par with manning this season with no bye. you cannot look at manning as a significant upgrade when he is playing in a ball control offense that takes advantage of their now effective D. you would compound that by bringing in harrison and taking a double whammy when indy keeps winning with lower scores (even higher scores still do not translate to big peyton numbers, a la last night). you have the best part of indy's offense already: edge. losing chad and dd would be a massive blow. do you really want to start barlow every week? i like fitz but he will not make up this difference. i'd stand pat and look for other QB options on the waiver wire if you want to try and upgrade brees. tony
ts
do you really want to start barlow every week? 1080430[/snapback] That's the problem that I have with this trade.

MrTed46
I agree I am hurting on WR so I see this as being a WR upgrade and a QB upgrade. Hard decision thanx for your input.
rellen13
I would'nt do it. Manning is a better QB than Brees, but not by enough in ff terms to trade C.Johnson and DD for Harrison and Fitz. I'd call Benson and Barlow swapping spit. Is it possible to pick up QB help on the WW?
MrTed46
WW in this league is garbage
Avernus
Manning has come out the gate slow before.... I think the passing game will pick up...this is a perfect example of buying low...
MrTed46
Another thing I am concidering is week 16 is suerbowl. If colts clinch home field I lost superbowl (assuming i get there).
rellen13
You've got a real strong team except at QB, and to a lesser degree WR. I'd stand pat and either look for something off the WW, or try to work a better deal, where you would'nt lose your best WR in the deal. MrTed46
Thank you all for advice. I declined the trade. I dont mind having brees he puts up decent #s but I do mind my WRs....they are bad. (CJ exception) Kurtis = Bruce will be back + Bulger hurt Lloyd = new qb bad team Andre = no explanation needed Lee Evans = silent thus far Edited October 19, 2005 by MrTed46
Avernus
Bruce could be back...but for how long?...that will just mean bruce won't get open and Curtis gets weak coverage... CJ, Lloyd and Curtis isn't a bad trio when you have Edge and LT2 both on pace for career years...
Thews40
How do you get Edge, DD and LT? Is this a four team league? I'd probably do the trade.
MrTed46
Its an auction league and I paid heavily for them. After CJ I was broke.
