Most of the time, at least one road team pulls off a win. Who would you put money on this year?

And some interesting facts from Gil Brandt at NFL.com:

Did you know?

Trivia question: Name the five former Giants defensive coordinators who are now NFL head coaches.

1. The 12 playoff teams combined have the most victories of any playoff field in history with 138 wins (138-54, .719).

2. All 12 teams rank in the top 10 in the league in either offense or defense.

3. The New York Giants' 422 total points this season was the second most in team history. They scored 448 points in 1963.

4. The New England Patriots have won nine consecutive playoff games, and with a win can top the Green Bay Packers for the most consecutive playoff wins in NFL history.

5. Joe Gibbs has 16 career playoff wins and needs one win to pass Chuck Noll for the third most in history.

6. Patriots receiver David Givens has caught a touchdown pass in five consecutive playoff games, which ties him for the second longest postseason streak in NFL history. The record is eight by John Stallworth (Steelers).

7. The Washington Redskins are 5-0 in wild-card games. Carolina and Cincinnati are both 1-0 in wild-card games.

8. In the last five years, there has been at least one overtime game in the playoffs -- the longest such streak in playoff history.

9. Jaguars receiver Jimmy Smith has at least five catches in five consecutive playoff games and five TDs in his last four playoff games.

Trivia answer: Bill Belichick, John Fox, Mike Nolan, Bill Parcells and Marty Schottenheimer.

This is a tough one ... it would help if you would tell me ...

1) Which Washington team shows up ... the one that whupped the Cowboys 35-7 or the one that lost to Oakland 13-16 ... the one that beat the Giants 35-20 or the one that lost to the Giants 0-36. The one that beat the Rams 24-9 or the one that sneaked by the Cardinals 17-13. For the most part Washington hasn't played very many decent teams recently.

2) Which Tampa Bay team shows up ... the one that beat Carolina 20-10 or the one that got their ass handed to them by New England 0-28. TB struggled to defeat NO both times, lost to SF and the NYJ, struggled to defeat DET and GB. TB doesn't inspire a ton of confidence either.

3) The Giants have been on a roll winning 5 out of the last 7 and should have defeated Seattle in that stretch. They lost to Minnesota in there though?

4) Carolina spanked Atlanta to get a playoff berth ... but let's face it Atlanta didn't have their hearts in it (clearly). They lost to Dallas the week before and to TB 2 weeks prior to that ... and barely managed to defeat Buffalo 2 weeks prior to that.

5) And if you know how the PIT-CIN game is going to turn out you are a better man than me. PIT ended the season on a roll and CIN tailed off a bit in mostly meaningless games.

I'll take Pittsburgh to win a close one at Cincy. To much D and playoff experience for them, me thinks.

Trivia answer: Bill Belichick, John Fox, Mike Nolan, Bill Parcells and Marty Schottenheimer.

Get off our Defensive coordinaters already!! Sheesh, come up with your own talent already guys.. :D:D

This Cold weather BS about Floriduh teams does not apply to Jax. First of all, Jacksonville is pretty much simply Southern Georgia, and they can play in the cold, see the 38-1 record GB had at home in the cold in 2004, Jax went up there and stomped them, and GB made a SB run.

NE and Jax are two teams that are not familiar with each other, this game could go either way, and Jax enters with a young team with lots of enthusiam.

Soft schedule? Maybe, but 12-4 in the NFL is still good, they beat the teams they had too, including Cinn and Pitt. Last week, with nothing to play for, they led Tenn 41-0 with 9 min left in the 4th qtr. How did Cinn do last week?

The patriots cannot keep up the pace of the past 4 years, they will lose this game 38-27.

I was wondering when the Jags would get their vote from H8. Actually I'm a little suprised the Jags haven't had a few more votes. Seems most everyone is paroting the talking media heads... None of these games are a lock either way IMO.
