cincy slammers
One hell of a way to start the game.
Gunther
Steve Smith, I needed that in my local league. 58 yard reception for a TD.
cincy slammers
Bears D has stepped up, Grossman looks totally lost out there. If he doesn't wake up this will be an hindquarter whooping.
giantsfan
I think we learned a few things: 1. Carol is real good. Better than I thought. They have a REAL chance to beat Seattle next week 2. These young QB's need playoff games before they can get it done. Simms, Eli, Leftwich, and Grossman. Seems clear you need a few playoff games under your belt before you are ready
Gunther
Was Gage's knee down on that play? I guess I missed it, didn't look like he got his knee on the ground to me.
Selly
Looks like they managed to get the refs from Indy to Chi-Town in record time.
Sgt. Ryan
Deja Vu to the last time Chicago made the playoffs, Bears got the #2 seed, and were whipped at home.
SteelBunz
Ooooooo.......2/9 for 4 yds. Yeah....he's a LOT better than Orton.
Randall
It is that cold in Chicago? I live 500 miles north of there and it is 30 here. Some of the Panthers are bundled up like they are in Alaska. That may matter in the 2nd half.
cincy slammers
Looked really close, not enough to overturn. Grossman looks worse than Orton - and he is their savior..
theeohiostate
horrible reversal on the obvious fumble for TD by the Panthers doesn't matter much, with a 7 point lead against the Chi offense, i'd say game-set-match Edited January 15, 2006 by theeohiostate
cincy slammers
Anyone think the Bears will score?
giantsfan
Maybe a FG or 2. Man Carol looks good. I think we have two very good games next week. Carol clearly has a chance in Seattle especially if SA isn't 100%. And to me Den-Pitt is a toss up game. Maybe 60/40 Den at home but really could go either way. Gunther
That was a nice INT by Urlacher.

Gunther
Foster injured his ankle, return is questionable.
Sgt. Ryan
this is a better game than I thought when Carolina had a nice lead. S Smith is a man among boys.
Randall
Gross man seems to be growing in this game. The 2nd half could be good. Why is Foster returning kicks though?
Gunther
this is a better game than I thought when Carolina had a nice lead. S Smith is a man among boys. 1267804 Word... Steve Smith, 39 yard TD reception. 215 yards so far.
giantsfan
Smith must be unstopable. He is really their only weapon in the passing game yet he gets HUGE #'s every week and Jake throws to him like 75% of the time, and he's open. He must be uncoverable. I mean teams must know to double him EVERY play. What I don't get is how come Vasher isn't following Smith ALL over the field. That is bad coaching simply put. Gunther
Wow, as much as I'd like Jones to get that TD since I'm playing him, that is not a TD by Jones. He lost the ball before it crossed the plane.

What happened to the Bears defense? 1267876 It's just strange to me how in the world these teams get beat by Smith when he is their only passing weapon. Jake throws to him like 75% of the time. The Giants had the same issue last week. I just don't get it. He MUST be doubled every play period. And why Chic doesn't have Vasher following him ALL over the field is a mystery to me as well.
