kpholmes
Mularkey, Mariucci, Sherman, Cappers, Tice, Haslett, Martz... Norv Turner was the worst of them all, and he landed an O-Coordinator job. So why are these head coaches not getting the love? I realize the majority of them come from loosing teams, but they arn't bad coaches. Will they end up on someone's staff eventually? Will any of them be head coaching the Raiders or Bills?

He says he'll consider anything that comes his way but he's not actively looking. Apparently he has a good shot at an NFL TV gig. Even though he was the worst paid NFL coach, he's hardly on the bread line.
Duchess Jack
Tice would be a fun TV personality - dopey like Bradshaw... Capers will hopefully land the Mia DC Martz and Mularkey are being considered for the Mia OC

Duchess Jack
Is Mularkey somebody I should be excited about? He did pretty well in Pitt, but sucked in Buffalo. Was he calling the plays there? He did not seem to be a good leader. He did not have his team under control and made the age old... Flutie, no Johnson, no Flutie, no Johnson, mistake. CowboysDiehard
I hate that Turner went to SF, wish he'd come back home to Dallas. Could have been a great arrangement, he could have stepped into Parcells' position in a couple of years. I like Norv and wish him well, but man I hate the Niners. Wish he could have gone anywhere else...

If you love your boys - you should be crying tears of joy that he is in no way associated with the orginization any longer (much less in line for the throne)
Piranha
The Bills have interviewed, Sherman & Jauron, (and Aprils, their ST coach) and they are interviewing Dom Capers today. Apparently, Haslett has not yet been invited to be interviewed by Buffalo. Edited January 20, 2006 by Piranha

CowboysDiehard
I don't know, maybe I'm blinded by the fact that Norv was the Cowboys' OC in the beginning of their Rise to Glory?
Duchess Jack
He did nothing in Washington, nothing in Miami and nothing in Oakland.. I think that the Cowboys can thank Jimmy Johnson and a mighty stacked team for their success.
Piranha
Piranha - what about Mularkey? Should I be excited? 1277853[/snapback] I would be, He's from the Miami area, and he wasn't a terrible head coach. 9-7 his first season and had that offense booming down the stretch with Bledsoe. And had success in Pittsburgh as their OC. The only reason he bailed in Buffalo was because Wilson pulled the rug out from all the staff that he had brought there. Holcomb, Loseman, Holcomb, Loseman.... ...and here I thought that the only reason the Titans made the playoffs this year was because of the Music City Miracle. Defensive Coordinators don't seem to make good head coaches. Mainly because of their bad offensive decision making. At least, it holds true in Buffalo.
