sunysteelfly76
I suppose if they hear it from enough customers they might add it to one of their packages. Go to contact us > Email Charter > Requests > I want a channel added to my lineup. Make sure you mention something about switching to Direct TV or Dish Network because they carry the NFL Network. slickvick
Way ahead of you.I did it last night and included a very long e-mail reply stating I would be switching to Direct TV next season as will many other rabid NFL fans and fantasy football junkies if the NFL Network was not added to our channel lineup. Randall
We have tried that before so I gave up and got Directv. It is so much better than Charter. I would do the same. They gave me a free DVR and then $100 rebate on top of it, no overcharges and long phone calls that never get reversed, but if you have to have Charter good luck. They keep wanting NFL as part of their high priced package which the NFL does not want. I'm with the NFL with this one. It isn't a premium channel. slickvick
Here is the response I got from Charter on the NFL Network issue.Sounds like they are not going to make an effort to get it.Hello Direct TV.Charter may not think it is in their best interest but I bet you come next football season they will change their tune. Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you. I understand your frustration with the NFL network being removed from our lineup. The very difficult position we are put in is that we have to make programming decision based on the interests of all of our subscribers, not just those who are interested in sports, and more specifically, the NFL. After considering what the NFL network was requesting during negotiations, it was decided that it would not be fiscally responsible for us to continue doing business with them. If we had decided to agree to their terms, chances are we would have had to ask our customers to foot that bill. We feel that our decision is in the best interest of our entire customer base. Tally
I keep reading posts about this charter cable company. I don’t live in your area but I switched to DirecTV about 4-5 years ago when my local cable company wouldn’t carry MSG network who at the time aired my Yankee games. I have never looked back. Direct TV is great. Don’t believe any of the BS about the picture going out in bad weather. It hardly ever happens but when it does, it comes back on in a couple minutes besides I remember losing the cable signal a lot more often than I’ve ever lost a satellite signal. Also, my parents and a couple of my friends have dish network. Which is still better than cable but I think DirecTV is the superior of the two companies so if you have a choice go with DirecTV you wont regret it. NO, I don’t work for DirectTV just thought I’d chime in since you guys seem to hate charter so much and I can sympathize cause I also hate my local cable company. Cable sucks. budlitebrad
The NFL is just trying to grab TW and the rest of the companies by the nads by adding these regular season games to their network. Pretty soon we'll be at PPV games...
Dagger
I just called charter about this very thing and they told me that the NFL channel pulled itself from their listing because "there was not enough interest from charter viewers!" Did that beatch lie to me? Give her credit it was a good answer tho!!!
tev
I'm trying to do the same with Cablevision. I'm in Northern NJ. Cablevision customers, you can send a suggestion to Cablevision to add the NFL Network here: http://www.cablevision.com/index.jhtml;jse...=suggestion_box And send an email here: http://cablevision.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ca...enduser/ask.php
Randall
I just called charter about this very thing and they told me that the NFL channel pulled itself from their listing because "there was not enough interest from charter viewers!" Did that beatch lie to me? Give her credit it was a good answer tho!!! 1300353[/snapback] I don't think so. In my area the issue was the NFL wanted basic cable to have it and Charter wanted it on their high priced package. The NFL wants everyone to have it and Charter wants the bucks. EDIT to add-I went with Directv and would never go back. Picture quality, service are far better. They also gave me a free DVR and then gave me $100 rebate on top of it.
