kingfish247
Hi all, Long time lurker, first time poster. Thanks for any thoughts in advance... 12 team, 14 rounds, 1 player keeper league QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, K, DEF; 6 BENCH, 1 IR No points per reception, 10yds=1pt, TD=6pts If I keep Bell, I give up an 8th round draft choice. If I keep Dayne, I give up a 12th round draft choice. I know it's a bit premature b/c Shanahan might not decide until week 8 but I have to decide before 8/

Big Country
Hopefull you have some better options to consider, but, if decision ha to be today, I think Dayne for a 12th is the better value pick.
Doc Holliday
I would go Bell myself. if the Broncos get another back that will make Dayne a backup. I think Bells role stays the same or gets better as the season goes along either way.

Agreed, sort of. Dayne for a 12th rounder is indeed a steallar value. I just think, all things being equal, I'd rather have Bell than Dayne. And Bell in the 8th is also a steal. kingfish247
thanks for all the input! why must u keep either one of those 2?? to me there must be a better choice on ur roster good question... I wish I did have a better choice. I'd much much rather avoid the Denver backfield roulette altogether. For the player to be an eligible keeper, the player must not have been drafted in rounds 1-5 in the previous year of my league's draft. My roster with keeper eligibility breaks down like this... C. Palmer-NOT ELIGIBLE C. Dillon-NOT ELIGIBLE Cadillac-NOT ELIGIBLE Holt-NOT ELIGIBLE R.Wayne-NOT ELIGIBLE Randy Mc-ELIGIBLE, GIVE UP 4th Round M.Vandy-ELIGIBLE, GIVE UP 6th Round Colts D/ST, ELIGIBLE, GIVE UP 12th Round BENCH J.Harrington-ELIGIBLE, GIVE UP 9th Round T.Bell-ELIGIBLE, GIVE UP 8th Round Ronnie Brown-NOT ELIGIBLE R.Dayne-ELIGIBLE, GIVE UP 12th Round Mark Clayton-ELIGIBLE, GIVE UP 12th Round B.Troupe-ELIGIBLE, GIVE UP 12th Round IR Braylon Edwards-ELIGIBLE, GIVE UP 9th Round as i see it, none of my other potentials are worth it. MAYBE Clayton but Dayne or Bell have the potential to be weak #1, decent #2 RBs, or solid #3 RBs. Clayton MIGHT be a weak #2 this year and as far as FF WRs go, that kind of production can be had in any round. Also, keeping any defense (Colts, even though they were brilliant last year for me) is just a recipe for disaster imo. i've been leaning towards Dayne under the weak assumption he may take on Mike Andersen's starting/goal-line role. But lately rumor has it that Bell will see an increase in carries and possibility start outright. Another thing about Bell, there always seems to be something wrong injury-wise. tomfin2000
Okay, you're right. You do have to keep one of them. In that case, I'm with Doc Holliday. As long as Bell is healthy, he will figure into the mix because of his big play ability but Dayne can be replaced by just about any average NFL RB in that system.
