Cyclones
I wasnt available for my league's draft as my son was sick as hell, so I told another owner to draft for me using ESPN draft rankings. I had the 7th pick in a 10 team league and ended up with Steven Jackson AND Portis coming back the other way. The draft was held the day after Portis' injury and at the time there was alot of uncertainty. I also ended up with Chambers and Holt at WR, but my QB is Warner If Portis is healthy and plays from week one I may cruise in this league so long as Warner doesn't get hurt. scorp25
That would mean you got hold in the 3rd round? interesting!
msaint
warner's fine long as you have a reliable backup for when -- not if, when -- he goes down. but with that potent offense in arizona, warner will have some nice games early on until some d-end casually strolls through that swiss cheese o-line & snaps him in half, or his feet literally fall off. The Holy Roller
The only time someone ever drafted for me was when a buddy called me from a draft he was in and someone didn't show up. The league voted the missing owner out (apparently he was an azz) and so my friend called me. It was a 45 mile drive and by the time I got there they were in the 5th round. Won the Super Bowl. And I'd like to see the rest of that draft, too, if you got Holt in the 3rd. Wow. Edited August 16, 2006 by The Holy Roller

I'm drafting 3rd in a 10 team and I'm hoping he drops to me in the 2nd but a few guys love WR particularly Holt so seeing him gone at the turn wouldn't suprise me. Must have been a RB heavy 1st 2.5 rnds.
The Wolf
Hope your son is feeling better...and can I hire your buddy to take a draft or two of mine?
Cyclones
I got the draft report, I got Jackson in the 1st, then Portis, Holt, Chambers, Galloway, Warner, then some backups (T and K Jones), Witten, then my IDPs (R Lewis, Bailey, Rice.) Manning and Brady both went before Holt, as did a slew of RBs and S Smith, Harrison, Owens, and Moss.

Cyclones
galloway in the 5th?...hmm...dunno who else was available but and how the hell did you end up with kevin jones after the 6th? I made a mistake, I got Jones in the 6th and Warner in the 7th. Galloway was the 5th ranked receiver (tied with Holt and Chambers, ironic) in our scoring system last year. We start 2 RBs and 2 WRs, so Galloway will be a bye week start for me, as will Jones, assuming Portis can play starting week one.
