Rockerbraves
Does anyone know of a website or source where I can find a ranking or breakdown of the salaries of players in the NFL?

piratesownninjas
I'm sorry, there is no way he is worth that much money.. He is if you look at it from a money making standpoint. He single handedly sells out the stadium in Atlanta. He's one of the most marketable players in the game.

He's one of the most marketable players in the game. If Vick wasn't playing there would be no fans? Come on man. That thing says Vick got a $22.5 million signing bonus. He's one of the most marketable players in the game. That is a bunch of bull$hit. If you take the money you are spending on Vick and spread that out, you could easily pick up 4-5 more players that could take you to the Superbowl. WINNING is what sells tickets and spamshirts, not Mike Vick. To say that he single handedly sells out the stadium in Atlanta is just ignorant. I think that DeAngelo Hall and Warrick Dunn might have a beef with that as well. Did the drafting of Mike Vick sells some additional season tickets and jersey's???? Sure it did, but winning games and possibly a Superbowl will do that same thing. This just goes to show how smart they are in Atlanta. Welcome to Atlanta, where the football team has NEVER had back-to-back winning seasons.......and doesn’t have a single former player in the Hall of Fame. No offense intended Jolly Rodgers, but you don't have the slightest clue as to what you're talking about here, do you? Did you know that without Vick ever playing a single Pro game, the Georgia Dome has been sold out ever since he was drafted by the Falcons? You do know that the Falcons winning percentage with Vick is pretty phenomenal, right? Over the last four years, with Vick being the unquestioned starter, the Falcons record is 31-1-16 with him under Center. During those four years, Vick only played the majority of the games for three of those four years (missed 12 games in 2003, due to a broken ankle suffered in the pre season). The Falcons beat Green Bay in a play off game at Lambeau field one of those years & got to within a game of the Super Bowl another of those years. In 2003 Doug Johnson & Kurt Kittner combined for a 2-10 record. Vick came back for the last four games of 2003 & immediately rolled off three wins. In 2004 & 2005 Schaub started 3 games - 2 at the end of 2004 (Play off seed wrapped up - Saints & Seahawks) & 1 against the Pats in 2005 (injury to Vick's knee). All three of the Falcons games that Schaub has started, have ended up as losses.

The only time the Georgia Dome has sold out pre Vick, was in 1999 after their 1998 Super Bowl appearance. They stunk that year & did not sell out the stadium in 2000. However, the Georgia Dome has been sold out ever since 2001, when Vick first became a Falcon. It is NOT a coincidence.

Prior to the season opener Vick was the number 1 player my son wanted to see play when I offered to take him to a NFL game. That's just one opinion, but it should count for something.
