msaint
Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Monday that practice squad running back Chris Taylor is likely to get a chance at carries down the stretch. With nothing working in Houston's backfield at this point, Taylor has an opportunity for a significant role, ala Wali Lundy earlier this year. We'd put in a waiver claim for Taylor, an undrafted rookie and favorite of coach Kubiak, in deep and dynasty leagues. Anyone thinking of grabbing him? MonkeyOne
I have a Perry shaped spot that might have his name on it. Depends when he's added to FF rosters. Edited November 28, 2006 by MonkeyOne

jake_the_builder
Just grabbed him in a couple. Lost Portis and now Ronnie hurt come playoff time, kinda thinning out at RB's, so figured why not.

Ziachild007
He looked OK in preseason, from what I remember and might be worth a pick up in deeper leagues, but I would set my expectations too high.
rajncajn
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...ayers/1883.html Chris Taylor Grade: 3.32 Position: RB Class: Sr School: Indiana Conference: Big Ten Ht., Wt.: 5-11.5, 222 40 Time: 4.54 BIO: Posted 156/740/4 on the ground as a senior adding 15/49 catching the ball after becoming a full-time starter. POSITIVES: Nice-sized ball carrier coming off a terrific senior campaign. Displays patience, quickly hits the hole and works to finish runs. Cuts back in a small area making defenders miss, keeps his feet moving on contact and runs through arm tackles. Improved his running vision, finds the open lanes or bounces it around tackles and avoids piles. Solid pass-catcher out of the backfield. NEGATIVES: Not a fluid or smooth back and runs with an upright style. Times well in the 40 but looks like a one-speed back who cannot run to daylight. ANALYSIS: Making major strides as a senior, Taylor could be one of the more undervalued backs in this draft. Possesses the size/speed/skill to play in the NFL yet must continue to polish his game and become a complete back. PROJECTION: Mid Sixth Round
Savage Beatings
So, is Dom Davis pretty much out of the picture for the future of the Texans now? He's pretty much bone on bone from here on out, right? And even though he's a rookie, if Chris Taylor was going to be the answer for the future, wouldn't they have already made the switch? I mean why wait, unless he just doesn't really have it? Who has seen the kid play in the pre-season? I'd love to get some more opinions. Is Taylor worth checking out as a future prospect in Texas or is he just another RBBC bust waiting to happen?
