bark
if its a designed run for the QB can he slide to avoid contact???
Grits and Shins
I hate the slide rule ... if a QB runs then he should be fair game to get hit / tackled.
Big John
There can be only one declared QB in a play, such as for receiving radio directions from the coach. So it deppended who the Falcons declared as the QB in the play. It does not neccessarily have to be the one who receives the ball from the center. bark
i agree 100% even more so if its a designed run then wouldn't he be considered a RB

Gunther
i agree 100% even more so if its a designed run then wouldn't he be considered a RB There was a play where Vick lined up as the halfback, not the QB, and rushed for four yards. I think that is what Big John is referencing.
MikesVikes
Is Vick and Schaub both on the field? Why don't they just put Vick on punt returns as well.
