dabuffbills
And anyone who calls soccer boring but finds baseball on TV exciting needs to have their heads examined. +1 I personally find both pretty boring. The only time i watch baseball is the World Series (sometimes) and the only time i watch soccer is the World Cup (again, not that often). wirehairman
But the flopping pisses me off in the NBA as well. Which has been greatly magnified by the influx of international players (including my favorite Argetinian) that grew up playing soccer too. Pope Flick
And anyone who calls soccer boring but finds baseball on TV exciting needs to have their heads examined. I'll disagree with that right there. I don't think soccer is covered well b tv, in part because so much of the game is happening away from the ball, in the setup of the plays. By staying focused on the ball, the TV audience is losing out on much of the strategic element. Baseball doesn't have that problem, because much of the strategy is predictable, so announcers can anticipate it more easily (hit&runs, squeeze bunts, sac flies, etc) and short of radical position shifts the camera can stay on the ball and not miss much at all. Still, I like baseball on the radio quite a lot.
