quincyxg
NFL Network's Adam Schefter confirms Eli Manning will start on Sunday. Schefter originally agreed with ESPN's Chris Mortensen that Manning could miss as much as a month due to a separated shoulder. He has now backed off that report, which is pretty telling about Manning's improved health.
Randall
NFL Network's Adam Schefter confirms Eli Manning will start on Sunday. Schefter originally agreed with ESPN's Chris Mortensen that Manning could miss as much as a month due to a separated shoulder. He has now backed off that report, which is pretty telling about Manning's improved health. Eli's been talking like it's his decision. Is it? After the injury he was throwing spirals with a litlle heat, but the Packers will bring even more heat. If the coaches let him play and he gets hurt further they are really in trouble. He's their franchise QB. Edited September 14, 2007 by Randall
PantherDave
Well, rumor has it that the Gents have some serious dirt on the Pats, and the Gents know without a doubt that BB has an extensive library on the Packers signals and formations. Hey, a little blackmail goes along way, so, Eli will know exactly waht to do with the ball on every down and PAcker DT formation.

budlitebrad
Man, the Giants have some terrible reporters covering them. A few days ago Manning and Osi were expected to be out for a while and now they may both play.
dawgpack
Stephania Bell from ESPN just said he's not starting. If he does, he'll be throwing melons, so don't get your hopes up. I want to see his bakup start and set the record for the heaviest QB to ever start a game. They said he weighs 285 and I'm sure that's about 15 short. keggerz
Man, the Giants have some terrible reporters covering them. A few days ago Manning and Osi were expected to be out for a while and now they may both play. Manning is listed as Questionable(50-50 chance he wont play) on the injury report Osi on the other hand was listed as Probable(virtual certainty that he will be available for normal duty) if OSI doesnt play after being listed as probable the Giants could be in trouble with Goodell for conduct detrimental to the league
Bill Swerski
Fanball reported that Eli threw in front of the media. I'm convinced that this was just for show and that he's not playing this weekend.

The Champ is Here
Several respected doctors have said that Eli CANNOT hurt his shoulder further by playing with it. This was never a big deal, it was bad reporting from the start and most Giants fans knew it, or anyone who took the time.

i_am_the_swammi
Several respected doctors have said that Eli CANNOT hurt his shoulder further by playing with it Several? Please list several (that would be three or more).... This was never a big deal, it was bad reporting from the start and most Giants fans knew it, or anyone who took the time. Really? I was in North Jersey Wednesday and Thursday for business, and while I was there listened plenty to WFAN, the premier sprts-talk show. I can say for certain that "most fans" did not know Eli would possibly be starting...most were chirping that the Giants brass should be hung out to dry for not having an adequate back-up in place. Why would they be so upset if they knew Eli would be fine?

Why would they be so upset if they knew Eli would be fine? I mis spoke, alot of people were over worried and the message boards were going nuts. The level headed people red between the lines, from the start there was never a doubt in my mind that he was ok and would start week 3 even if he couldnt go week 2. It was in an article that i red that said all the doctors he visited said he couldnt make the injury worse, I remember thinking it was great news. The media blows everything up and if you believe all of it and dont form your own oppinion based on facts and not ratings then youll be ok, Manning is fine. I'll bet when Cullen Jenkin's 320 lbs drives his shoulder into the ground it will really hurt. Come on. This is football.
