Now if this were posed as a math problem then I would have to say Big John is correct, but being a riddle the answer should be something you would not expect like the one Biggie gave. My opinion is someone heard a riddle like Biggies & tried to change it. Well I just got a response from the person who posed this question to me last night. I answered 10,990 and they informed me that, that was the correct answer. I then informed them that this question was not a riddle but in fact is just a math word problem as the answer was pretty straight forward, without any, "Wow, I didn't even think of it that way" kind of response. I agree with you Rajn that this was probably made up by someone who heard the riddle mentioned in this thread.
