theprez
ok Flip... got a crazy one for you... Need some help with my injured keeper team for this week... if not longer term. 8 team Yahoo keeper league. - Standard roster plus RB/WR flex - Standard scoring plus 0.5 pts per catch This is what I have for this week, so far: QB - BFavre vs Chi WR - RoyWilliams @ Was WR - RMoss vs Clev WR - BMarshall vs SD RB - LTomlinson @ Den RB - ??? TE - JShockey vs NYJ WR/RB - ??? K - JReed vs Sea D - Baltimore @ SF BENCH - DBrees vs Car KJones @ Was JNorwood @ Tenn ABoldin @ StL (injury concern) LMaroney vs Cle (injury concern) KCurtis (Bye) AJohnson vs Mia (Out) SJackson vs Ari (Out) Could really be in trouble again this week IF both Maroney and Boldin are out. If they are, and I keep my above roster I would need to start KevJones and Norwood. Now... since this is a keeper league, I gotta be careful who I dump. If another team picks them up they would get their value. We can keep 3 guys each year. Without getting into the value of every guy I will just look at the bench, in case I need to drop someone for this week. Because I may need to drop someone for a fill in. (LT, RWilliams, AJohnson are not keepable next season) I believe I could get away with KevJones starting, since he's scored in both games since returning, but I may need a RB or WR for this week. Also getting a free slot may not be bad because I will need a bye will fill in for my TE and DEF eventually. If kept next year: KevJones would be a 12th rd pick Norwood would be a 9th rd pick KCurtis would be a 12th rd pick I'd have to think that Curtis would be my lone drop option. Had he not had that huge game it would make the decision easier! Looking at the FA's that I could use for this week, or keep long term... we got: RB's: KKeith vs TB JJones @ Buff AGreen vs Mia DWilliams @ NO EGraham @ Ind BLeonard vs Ari FTaylor @ KC LWashington @ NYG WR's: Engram @ Pitt RWhite @ TEn JamesJones vs Chi GJennings vs Chi ADavis vs Mia Any thoughts?? Maroney and Boldin could just be too risky. I may be able to get away with dropping Curtis since I will/should/could have my solid WRs back and healthy eventually. Flip_Side
I have 3 questions if thats ok...1. Which 2 WR do I start? D. Driver vs Chicago S. Holmes vs Seattle D. Bowe vs Jacksonville 2. Would you trade LT and D. Driver for R. Moss and W. Parker. 3. And the one no one will answer. Why do I have an "H" on my envelope in the topic area? Driver and Holmes. I think Bowe has a decent game but comes back down to earth a little bit. Holmes is a sure bet to have a good game.

Flip_Side
Hey Flip, thanks for your opinions, got a couple for ya. League 1 (standard scoring....0-4) WR (pick 3) *Fitz@STL *Evans v. Dal (garbage time?) I'm also starting Lynch at RB *Crayton @ Buff (I have Romo) Cal Johnson @ Wash Engram @ Pitt Thinking about plugging Johnson in....but for who? League 2 (standard scoring) RB (pick 2) *T.Jones @ NYG *Keith v. TB (Thinking of starting regardless) Addai v. TB Maroney v. Clev. MJD @ KC Jacobs v. NYJ Right now my only definite play is Jones.... League 3 (stand. scoring) RB (pick 2) *Dayne v. Mia (good start even if Green plays?) *Henry v. SDC (will he play, how much) Rudi - bye S.Young v. SDC (a must if Henry is out) Betts v Det (Portis banged up) K.Jones @ Wash (not yet??) F.Taylor @ KCC Lots of boarderline choices WR (1 to go with TO) Branch @ Pitt Welker v. Clev Galloway @ Indy I'm going away this weekend so need to finalize my lineups on Friday night...... Fitz, Crayton and Calvin. I think he comes back with a big game this week. Tough one with all the injuries for the second league. Not sure about Maroney, he has a good matchup but who knows with NE. Jacobs has a nice matchup also and I am starting him in my league. I'd play it safe in your case though and give the start to Jones and Keith like you already have. Taylor and Kevin Jones. Both should have decent games. I hate Ron Dayne, absolutely hate him. Z. Thomas should be back this week and that should beef up our Run D anyway. I'm also optimistic about Henry, just can't feel comfortable starting him over other good options this week. Galloway- He's slowed down lately but he should have a big one. Edited October 4, 2007 by Flip_Side

Flip_Side
Hey Flip. I have a few questions for you. 1. PPR League 1pt/20yds rec or rush, 6pts/TD Pick 2 MJD @ KC huddle proj, 40yds rush, 20yds rec, Starter Tier 3 Leonard vs ARI, 50 yds rush, 20yds rec, Bench Morris vs CLE 50yds rush, 1TD, 20yds rec, Starter Tier 2 Graham @ IND, 80yds rush, 1 TD, 10yds rec, Bench Dayne vs MIA, 80yds rush, 1 TD, Starer Tier 2 Green vs MIA, no stats I thought he would be out but did practice yesterday. Right now I am leaning towards Morris defintely and Dayne or Green. Graham has some upside but I want to see how TB uses him and Pittman. MJD also has the upside against an average KC rush D but he didn't do much against an avg. DEN rush D two weeks ago. Leonard won't do much behind that line and ARI actually has a good rush D. What do you think? If you choose Dayne would you drop Leonard? 2. 1pt/50yds passing, 6pts/TD, 1pt/20yds rush, -1pt/sack, -2pts/INT Pick 1 Pennington @ NYG 200yds passing, 2 TD, Starter Tier 3 Campbell vs DET, 240yds passing, 2 TD, Upside Have Pennington right now would have to do a swap out. Although Campbell has the better matchup it is probably a toss up since he had a fav. matchup two weeks ago and didn't do much. He also may be without Moss. The only thing that scares me about Pennington is if NYG can sack him even half as much as they sacked McNabb. 3. PPR League 1pt/10yds rec or rush, 6pts/TD Pick 1 not to play LJ vs JAC, 110 rush, 1TD, 30 rec, Starter Tier 2 Brown @ HOU 70yds rush, 60yds rec, 1 TD, Starter Tier 2 Jones @ NYG 60yds rush, 10yds rec, Stater Tier 2 Chambers @ HOU, 80yds rec, 1 TD, Starter Tier 2 I have the odd man out as Jones. MJD and Morris. Campbell, I like his chances a lot more Vs a horrid Detroit secondary. Jones to sit. I think LJ, Brown and Chambers all have big games. Flip_Side
Start Bowe over Holt? Bowe has been a stud but he cools down this week. Holt plays Vs Arizona and Frerotte isn't half bad. Expect Frerotte to lean on Holt for a big game this week.

webbnathan
Marshall vs. San Diego Betts vs. Detroit Gallaway at Indy I want to pull the trigger on Marshall this week. I think this game could throw up some points?? Portis is being reported that he might not play due to his knee, but even if he does Betts looks like he's gonna get his this week. Gallaway at Indy, will TB be playing catchup for most of the game??? I'm usually pretty good at picking who to play but this one has me stumped. Any help on something I'm not thinking about? Montana is da Man
It depends do you have any other backs on your free agent list that are better? Tell me whos on the FA list and I can answer that... Indys D is banged up with Sanders, Morris, and Kieaho (excuse spelling) all out. I'd give Jacksonville D a shot. There are not other RB's out there and currently I have R. Brown and B. Leonard. I am trying to trade for a starting RB for when SJax comes back. My trade bait is one of my WR's (Moss, Ocho Cinco and Andre Johnson)
