Benjamin Watson, TE NE

News: The Boston Globe reports that Patriots TE Benjamin Watson was back at practice on Wednesday and didn't appear to be limited. That means he might play at Indianapolis in Week 9. Watson hurt his ankle in Week 6 and has missed the Patriots' last two games. When asked if he'd be ready, Watson withheld comment.

Analysis: We'll keep our eyes peeled on Watson's status this week. If he plays, he'll be a No. 1 Fantasy TE as a red-zone threat for the Patriots at Indianapolis this week. You'll want to start him if you own him.

Well, that sounds pretty good. I just hope the Pats don't pull a "Moroney" and have Watson practice all week, but not play on Sunday. Olsen is on bye, and i'd rather not drop either of my TE's.

fwiw he was present at the media portion of the practice and they say SEEMED to be ok....you cant put it past BB

to run Watson out there knowing it will be reported as he practiced to give the colts something else to think about...i think

you will see watson end up as a GTD for the game

watson was not present during the media portion of practice today like he was on wed & thu....of course that probably means that he will start

Keggerz, if Watson plays, should I not start Welker? :D

Believe it or not I have both of them, and I face Brady this week.

i still stand by what i have said....welker has benefited most from Watsons absence

but this week i think both BB and Dungy are playing head games IE: Watson and Harrison

I have to start Welker due to bye-week problems and injuries; a curse on you Deion Branch for missing the Cleveland score-fest :D

I think there is something to your theory, might find out this Sunday the hard way.

honestly i doubt that watson is 100% but I do think he will play...if for anything just to give the colts more to think about

but i am pretty sure we will see sooner then later

Heck, Watson could just be a diversion this week, if he's less than 100%. Same goes for Harrison if he can give it a go.

It is an interesting theory, I just hope finding out the answer doesn't cost me. I'm playing my 7-1 girlfriend this week, I'm 6-2. Time to even up those records. :D

OK, did anyone else get a disturbing visual here or do I just watch too much porn? :D

Dude, I don't. get that, but to your question, no....you can never watch too much porn...... :D

wife's away, and I've had a few to many......and I've got all day football tomorrow!!!! ;):D.

oh and to the main question... :D This is Bellicheck......all signs point to him playing...but this is definitely a GTD.

Just a hunch, but I think Watson will play and play well. NE is off on their BYE next week. Then, they come back with Buffalo, Philly and Baltimore. He can take the next month off and heal that ankle with that schedule. Too big a game to sit out for a little sprain. With Watson in the formation, the Colts heads are going to be spinning.
