Whiskey Pimp
What is the purpose of these caucuses exactly? Do the winners of these things actually mean anything in the overall choosing of the party leader? Is there a caucus in every state?
Big John
There are caucauses in only a few states. The other states have primary elections. The purpose of either is to gain delegates that would vote for the candidate in the party convention held in the summer, in which gets on the party ticket for the general election in November. Each party have different rules on how caucus results or primary election results translate into the candidate's delegates. What usually happens lately is that candidates will drop out if they don't think they can attain the needed number of delegates and by the time of the party convention, there is one remaining candidate and he will have likely picked his vice-presidental running mate. isleseeya
What is the purpose of these caucuses exactly? Is there a caucus in every state? They are spiny plants that grow in dry arid conditions normally in the desert and do not serve much of a purpose ...they are not found in every state but normally found in Arizona , Nevada , parts of california
TimC
OK, help a Canadian out here Don't we already help you out enough by providing your national defense free of charge so you can run around being a smug Canadian? Anyways, like all foreigners, the only thing you remember to do is vote Republican early and often.

I think I need a shower.
