KSUChiefsTarheelFan Posted January 29, 2008 Share Posted January 29, 2008 I am 31 years old and am attending college for the second time, at UNC. I am a huge fan of the basketball team. Recently I came across a video that had the end of game footage from our first defeat this year. It was a home loss and ESPN did a good job at unintentionally exposing our fans for being classless. If you watch the video you will see Carolina Girl crying, which kind of makes us look bad IMO. Almost like we are expected to run the table this year. But if you listen closely, you will hear Carolina Girl yell to the Maryland players, "Go back to the Ghetto!". Is it because College Park is a ghetto? Is it because it's in Maryland and The Wire is filmed in Baltimore? Is it because of #50 and his Ben Wallace afro? Or is it the couple of other guys on the squad with cornrows and tattoos? Obviously I shold just leave it be, because it is most likely an 18 year old that doesn't know any better. I was wondering why the heck that chick was crying. It's not like they lost the national championship game. They had a shot (a small one, IMO) to run the table.... but who really cares about that anyways? As to the OP's question, I think you nailed it.... it's an 18-year old that doesn't know any better.
