DMD
Doing some statistical work for upcoming articles and ran across a few things that sort of surprised me. Can you name the four teams with the least number of sacks allowed? Answer: NO (16), CIN (17), CLE and GB (19) Can you name the four worst teams with sacks allowed? Answer: SF and KC (55), DET (54) and NYJ (53) Can you name the three best teams in rush yards per game gained by RB's? Answer: MIN (145), JAC (132), NYG (130) Can you name the three worst teams in rush yards per game gained by RB's? Answer: KC (72), DET (74) and CHI (80) Not surprisingly, the best teams at yards per carry for RBs were the same as best rush yards per game But for the worst rushing average, CHI (3.3) and KC (3.4) were worst but DET (4.1) actually ranked 14th. The sacked numbers were the more surprising to me but the importance of O-lines really come to light with those two measurements. SheikYerbuti
Didn't the Jets spend TWO first round picks on Mangold and DaBrick in the same year to fix the O line once and for all? CarryTheRock
Being a Saints fan I knew the one for least sacks. Who would have thought KC would rank there in the rushing game going into the 2007 season
