Donutrun Jellies
McFadden and Norewood running the ball would be nice...they still need someone to throw though, its quite possible that both Ryan and McFadden will both be there, who do you take if your the Falcons? If the Falcons are still the Falcons, they'll draft McFadden and play him at QB ...
piratesownninjas
who do you take if your the Falcons? Take Ryan in the first, sign Michael Turner to pair with Norwood. In other news, I hear Jake Long's size is already impressing at the combine and his wingspan is longer than both Thomas and D'Brick apparently. He could be the next Tony Mandarich... Jake Long is a different animal. He didn't stop focusing on football to focus on body building, and he's not juicing. This guy is a gamer through and through. It didn't matter if Michigan was winning, or getting blown out, he was always destroying his opponent and going 100 MPH.

piratesownninjas
They need a QB, bad. Whatever, they have Joey Harrington, DJ Shockly and potentially Chris Redmond...
Sturphy
he's not juicing Well, you hope he's not juicing. How can anyone ever know for sure anymore?
kingfish247
who do you take if your the Falcons? I'll take a 10 year starter at left tackle (Jake Long) or DL (Dorsey, Ellis, or Long), please. And take Henne or Flacco in the 2nd round with one of their two 2nd round picks OR Booty with a 2nd/3rd rounder.

As an avid wolverine fan, I wouldn't pine for Henne. He'll give you a false sense of hope, then become completely unraveled and do things that will leave you bashing your head. piratesownninjas
I'll take a 10 year starter at left tackle (Jake Long) I don't think he'll be on the board when the Falcons make their selection.
Riffraff
Falcons are desperate at the DT position now. http://www.ajc.com/services/content/sports...=7&cxcat=21 Trey Lewis re-injured his surgically repaired right knee in a freak accident and will require additional surgery, he had moved into the starting lineup after Grady Jackson was released. Rod Coleman was cut last month, and reserves Tim Anderson and Montavious Stanley are free agents. Ellis or Dorsey look like the pick now. Riffraff
Chris Redman and DJ Shockley? I thought Ryan not so long ago and wouldn't fault them if they do go that way. But there are more rounds in the draft than just the first. Head Coach Smith was a defensive guy.
piratesownninjas
Head Coach Smith was a defensive guy. That was kind of my thinking, but with Dorsey's injury concerns and their need at quarterback, I don't think you can pass on Ryan... Granted Long is not on the board. WaterMan
They don't have Harrington anymore. Mar 5 QB Joey Harrington was released by the Falcons. In 12 games (10 starts) last season, he completed 215 of 348 passes for 2,215 yards, seven touchdowns and eight interceptions for a 77.2 passer rating. Mar 5 Harrington was released by the Falcons on Wednesday, the team's official site reports. Recommendation: He'll likely turn up with another club looking for depth behind an injury-prone quarterback, but the days of teams looking at Harrington as a starter appear to be over after three failed attempts in poor situations.
