DMD
Signed for two years and only $1.8 million. That's peanuts really and a sign Foster's days as a starter are definitely in the rear view mirror.
PSULions
Why we ever gave him a 3 year deal for roughly $15MM a few years ago is beyond me... He was the yearly tease here in Carolina and never came close to what we expected him to be. He is not a bad back-up at the price that he signed with the 49ers and should give decent insurance with Gore owners should he miss time during the season in the fall. LooGie
Help Gore what? Get a contract extension? Wash his car? He certainly wont spell him, especially after he ruptures his uterus again.

Ensures one of them will be on the injury report..

The Irish Doggy
Nice change of pace/injury backup for the 49ers IMO. That's the role he should have been in all these years.
Bronco Billy
Huh. I wonder if SF will think paying $600,000 per game will be worth it...
godtomsatan
Maybe they brought him in to play QB.
Riffraff
Maybe they brought him in to play QB. They just signed Hill and O'Sullivan and extended Smith. And of course there is Robinson, the special teams RB, that used to play QB in college. Chalk full of _______ (insert your adjective here) passers.
