yo mama
You know, stoopid people should be insulted by politicians who throw "elitist" barbs. They're basically saying, "that guy over there resents the fact that you're an idiot. But I don't mind." detlef
I don't really think I can add anything to this conversation. If only you said that to yourself more often...

Riffraff
Personally, I want an elitist as my President. Sorry, no low self-esteemed pansy for me. I need someone sure of themselves and of their abilities in that office. I don't want any average joe leading my country. I want someone that I can look up to as having accomplished more than me. Perhaps they rose from the inner city ashes to become President. The local boy makes good. Inspiring. I can live with that. Most likely, they bring a perspective of long term planning and consistency from a wealthy family with a good education. I can live with that too. Something to aspire to. A president should reflect that.

Beaumont
Millionaire senators are in touch with the people. Bill cliton was bought and paid for by the chinese since his early days. George Bush likes baseball and apple pie. And Saudis, oil and defense contractors ... ETA: Speaking of oil, I hope you are saving your paychecks to pay off my GVE dues ... $116 bbl and rising ... Randall
Damn filter. I tried saying I want someone who knows what they are doing. McCain scares me because he talks of more wars and many generals have been talking about his temper. But at least he has served in war.
