Maybe 25-life, but let the legal system decide based on more evidence. Does New York have the death penalty. Wasn't it declared unconstitutional? All I see above is Which Punishment. You may think you did but you forgot to mention it in the thread. As for me I don't think it rises to the level of either. 30 years without parole would be my choice. He'd have to shoot a cop, be a contract killer or rapist for me to think death is appropriate,. It sounds like the guy that died was running away from something when he got hit. It is possible that the guy ran out in front of the car and the only thing the kid did wrong was driving under the legal age. If the accident could have been avoided, then give him 10 years without paroled, spending the first 4 in juvie the last 6 in a minimum security prison. There was no motive for the attack other than the fact the black kid wanted to beat up an asian kid, which resulted in his death. Not one part of this is conjecture, it is the facts of what happened.
