skylive5
HA! While it was a touch and go there for a bit... a 16th place finish by Nam Le in the 5th gives me cashes in the first 5 tourneys. That was a surprise and gladly taken.

Big Country
Update through 17 completed events. I know Negreanu is doing well after day one of the limit hold em event, so if that maintains he could shake things up a bit, and the heavily stacked 2-7 triple draw final table (Lindgren, Greenstein, Matusow, Benyamine, Tom Schneider among others) Standings: Name ScoreBig Country 5528muck 4982Tford 4748darin3 4072Cyclones 3936skylive5 3900SheikYerbuti 3240BringBackPat 3130timmypg 3092godtomsatan 2588 Points only, no multiplier: Name PointsBig Country 428muck 410Tford 396Cyclones 380BringBackPat 370skylive5 352timmypg 320SheikYerbuti 296darin3 296godtomsatan 174 Darin is doing something right with his player rankings, jumping from 9th in points to 4th overall in the rankings. Big Country
Ouch, haven't been paying attention to the WSOP lately. My lead has disintegrated Will update this afternoon, but I think you get a hugh boost with the Matusow win on the 2-7 Lowball event. Big Country
Update after yesterday's star studded 2-7 draw lowball event won by Matusow: Name ScoreBig Country 6620Tford 6444muck 5822darin3 5118Cyclones 3948SheikYerbuti 3916skylive5 3900BringBackPat 3298timmypg 3188godtomsatan 2588 And points only: Name PointsBig Country 554muck 536Tford 534SheikYerbuti 426darin3 426Cyclones 392BringBackPat 382skylive5 352timmypg 352godtomsatan 174 Timmypg has a chance to make some gains as he is the only player with Eugene Todd "Bro" on his roster and he is at the final table of the Omaha event, where Vanessa Selbst has a commanding chip lead, and 7 of us have Daniel Negreanu who is third in chips I believe at the final table of the Limit Hold Em Event. If he wins, I know that in addition to the prize pool he has a bracelet bet with Phil ivey for $200K a bracelet. THen again, Phil has bet a ton on himself to win a tourney (getting odds between 1.8 and 3 to 1 depending on who he bet with), I'm hearing as much as $2million in various bets on himself. There's a rumor going around that Phil is so intent to win his bracelet bets that he played the women's event. He found out that it's illegal to exclude someone from participating in a poker tournament due to gender. Again, just a rumor, but I'd believe it. Though, I heard one player did show up, but it was more as a joke. Trying to remember which interview I heard that on. May have been the Poker Road show with Evelyn Ng from earlier this week. TimC
Glad to see Daniel Negreanu take it down! Also, Lindgren and Matusow winning a bracelet this year is making it to be a pretty good WSOP. Wish I'd gotten in on this but was outta town.
Big Country
This is definitely the year of the pro. Now, my work blocks most sites that would have the results and apparently my phone, which I have been using to surf to cardplayer to get results for the updates is in the crapper in terms of connecting, so, if someone could post the top 16 finishers for event 19 (the one Vanessa Selbst destroyed) and event 20 (the one Negreanu won) I can get an update through all events finished to date up. Big Country
Update? I updated Friday AM with all events completed through then. WIll try squeeze out an update today when I get some time. Generally no point updating except every 2-3 days, and I am hardly on the computer over the weekend, plus that is my kid's time so don't expect updates over the weekend. I was surprised, when going thru all the submissions, that I was the only one that took Chan. Because of that, have 6 people that will score in that event. Not going to move me up much in the standings....but at least I had one tournement that will give me a lot of points. LOL
Big Country
Found a error in the scoring from yesterday. I shifted the results of the heads up tournament and the Razz tourney (that Barry Greenstein won) one column left on my sheet so that the points for the Heads up tourney were not doubled as they were supposed to be and the points from the Razz tourney were doubled. That has been corrected and the updates through events finished yesterday have been added. skylive5
Wow..I sure didn't do very well for having 5 in the top 10 and 6 total for that 5k event. I would say my chances for finishing in the top three are pretty much done. *sigh*
