Randall
Concordia College in Mequon(just north of Milwaukee). A wise choice. May have to go check it out. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/st...5C?OpenDocument
BeeR
Yeah what with it being so close to STL and all. (?) I know camps aren't necessarily right next door, just seems kinda far-?

Big John
And they have the shape of Milwaukee correct, but the dimensions are only about 1/3 of the correct size compared to the scale of the rest of the map.
Big John
Aaaaah...the lure of the brats...! They need to go another 40 miles north to get to Sheboygan.

They're looking for real football fans. Distance can be a blessing because they are supposed to be away from family and friends. Many stay in college dorms. If I remember right Da Bears, the Saints, KC(still does) have all practiced in Wisconsin. The weather is better than ST Louis for working out in august. wiegie
I'm guessing that they are trying to avoid the heat they encountered at Macomb, IL where they used to have their training camp.
Randall
I'm guessing that they are trying to avoid the heat they encountered at Macomb, IL where they used to have their training camp. Possibly although it does get to the mid 90's here at times. It is on Lake Michigan so that should help. Linnehan also said he wanted to be further away from home. It's about 400 miles. John Oswald, Rams Vice President of Operations said, “Head coach Scott Linehan and his staff were looking for a site that offered ideal living environment, practice conditions, and adequate facilities, plus a venue that was away from our home base. Concordia University Wisconsin fulfilled all of those objectives.” Head coach Scott Linehan said, “There’s something about working together in one place, away from the distraction of home (the Rams trained at their permanent facility in Earth City, Mo., in 2005-06). There also is the anticipation of breaking camp and starting the season when you come back. We have in Concordia University Wisconsin a traditional college site with the kind of atmosphere and surroundings needed to prepare for the regular season.”
