Pancake
I was wondering if anybody had any statistics on the likelyhood of a RB having a significant injury during the regular season as it relates to lengthly pre-season holdouts. It just seems like everytime a RB holds out for most or all of pre-season that RB ends up missing significant portions of the regular season with a injury. I know that injuries can not be directly linked but I was just wondering what numbers say.
Avernus
he definitely doesn't seem all that confident in his ability to stay healthy enough to make his value go any higher...
Seahawks21
This used to be brought up every now and again as a pretty big problem. I would think that since most players (especially RB's) stay in shape now during the offseason, the likelihood of this still being an issue has got to be lessened. If he gets a few weeks of hitting done before he plays, I don't think it would raise the chances of injury significantly.
Swiss Cheezhead
He has to report by August 8th, so his holdout is not really a big deal.
Pancake
Stephan Jackson just adding to the statistics here.....another RB holdout during training camp that ends up with a significant injury during the season. This is definatley a trend, according to the numbers...but the cause / effect goes unproven still. Pkillebr
Yeah, I won't ever draft a holdout RB again. My first overall last year was Larry Johnson and I drafted SJax this year lol.

Although he didn't participate much in the 2007 preseason so that makes it kind of like a holdout. Some guys are just injury prone... holdout or no holdout. SJax is definitely one of them. westvirginia
I'm probably not remembering everything here, but the only non injury-plagued holdout I can remember was Emmit Smith in '93. But I am a Cowboys fan...
