Scooby
It never gets scored as a fumble because he never lost posession... til the 2nd one. EXACTLY -- he can't lose a fumble that was never lost. Lost meaning the OTHER team gains possession. Which begs the question, if a tree falls in the woods... keggerz
EXACTLY -- he can't lose a fumble that was never lost. Lost meaning the OTHER team gains possession. Which begs the question, if a tree falls in the woods... you are both incorrect....he should be credited/scored with 2 fumbles on that play...there is such a thing as a Fumble and Fumble lost in official scoring however, it does look as if it wasnt scored properly (I wouldnt be surprised to see it corrected at some point either) 1-12-DAL3 (14:47) T.Romo to DAL -5 for -8 yards (B.Dawkins). FUMBLES (B.Dawkins), RECOVERED by PHI-C.Gocong at DAL -4. TOUCHDOWN. Here is an example where if you FUMBLE it but get it back that its still a FUMBLE 2-20-DAL10 (6:49) T.Romo pass short left to P.Crayton to DAL 18 for 8 yards (S.Brown). FUMBLES (S.Brown), and recovers at DAL 17. P.Crayton to DAL 17 for no gain (S.Brown). Crayton clearly did exactly what romo did...he fumbled it and immediately recovered it except that romo then fumbled his again... Fumbles NO LST REC YDS P. Crayton 1 0 1 0 T. Romo 1 1 0 0 here are 2 other examples that prove it was scored wrong:: 1-10-GB20 (11:19) A.Rodgers FUMBLES (Aborted) at GB 20, and recovers at GB 20. A.Rodgers to GB 20 for no gain (D.White). 1-10-GB34 (9:45) A.Rodgers sacked at GB 29 for -5 yards (D.White). FUMBLES (D.White), RECOVERED by DET-D.White at GB 30. D.White to GB 30 for no gain (C.Clifton). Fumbles NO LST REC YDS A. Rodgers 2 1 1 -2 romo CLEARLY fumbled twice on that one play...recovering his own once(like Rodgers did) and losing one to the eagles once (like Rodgers did vs Detroit) oh and here is one from the Den SD game: remember the bogus incomplete pass...well it was ruled a fumble but Denver kept possession so a change of possession is not needed for a fumble to occur. 2-1-SD1 (1:17) J.Cutler pass incomplete short right to M.Pittman. The Replay Assistant challenged the fumble ruling, and the play was REVERSED. J.Cutler sacked at SD 10 for -9 yards (Team). FUMBLES (Team), declared dead at SD 10. EXACTLY. the gamebook is incorrect, thus the scoring is flawed. no question he fumbled twice, recovered once (which is a GOOD thing), and fumbled for a loss once.
