Right, so the point of this exercise is to show that only very few minuscule things about your behavior is already not covered by some form of regulation or law. Yet, every day people want more and more of them. Do people want government to wipe their ass for them too? No, wait, I'm sorry. What they want is a law stating that no one else can wipe their ass and that every one has to wipe their own.

Ask Chuck Berry about that.

having laws versus having laws enforced are two very different things.

Case in point, ask Perch how will preventing illegal immigration is going in Texas.

I agree entirely. What's the point of making more laws and regulation when we don't even fully enforce the ones we currently have?

That was in case a situation arises that may need a law a point to, it is a convenient reason/excuse if there is now past case law on the subject.

here is an example. There was a online poker scam where the guy that sold UltimateBet to a different company retained the ability to see his opponents cards and scammed them out of 22 million dollars. because there was no LAW in place against what he was doing, he got off scot free, no jail time, etc.

Sometimes the laws are done to try and anticpate people scamming loopholes in the current law and giving society legal recourse.

I agree with you on the enforcement end, as it seems to be selective based on their budgets.

You can take $30,000,000,000.00 in TARP bailout money because your company is inept and then turnaround and then hand out millions in bonuses to the inept f*cks that drove the company into the ground in the first place while unemployment hovers at 10%.
