Brentastic
Beck Pearl Jam Neil Young Page/Plant (early 90s at Fiddler Green, Denver) Phish Grateful Dead Paul Simon Kenny Rogers (I was 8 and with mom) Black Crowes Wilco America Rob Base Allman Brothers Willie Nelson DMB John Cougar Mellencamp Steve Miller Damn Yankees Lynyrd Skynyrd Bad Company I'm sure there are many more I'm forgetting. Best of the bunch, without question is Phish. Biggest surprise (i.e... better than I expected) was Paul Simon, he had 7 encores and was great live. Other notable great concerts: Beck, Neil Young, Wilco, Black Crowes, Page/Plant, Allman Bros and the Dead. Damn Yankees, Bad Co and Lynyrd Skynyrd were all horrible (not surprising, saw them in the 90s). John Mellencamp and Steve Miller were more high school phases, fun at the time but wouldn't go again. electricrelish
I can't remember them all. AntiScene A Tribe Called Quest @ Lollapalooza 94 Bad Religion Barenaked Ladies Beastie Boys @ Lollapalooza 94 B-52's B.B. King Beck Billy Joel Black Crowes Bob Dylan The Breeders @ Lollapalooza 94 Bright Eyes Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band (Born in the USA tour) Cursive Duran Duran Erin McKeown The Faint Fetch'n Bones Fiona Apple Glass Tiger Grateful Dead Jenny Lewis John Wesley Harding Juliana Hatfield The Jesus and Mary Chain @ Lollapalooza 92 KMFDM L7 @ Lollapalooza 94 Lenny Kravitz Matthew Sweet Ministry @ Lollapalooza 92 The Monkeys Paul McCartney Pearl Jam @ Lollapalooza 92 Prince Queensryche (Neighborhood kid had tkts but his dad wouldn't take him to the show so I did. It was fun) Rainer Maria Rage Against the Machine @ Lollapalooza 92 The Ravonettes Red Hot Chili Peppers @ Lollapalooza 92 Rilo Kiley Saves the Day Sleater Kinney Slick Rick Smashing Pumpkins @ Lollapalooza 94 Steve Miller Band Squirrel Nut Zippers Sting They Might Be Giants Thompson Twins The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players Unsane Violent Femmes Weezer Wyclef Jean Favorite show: Beck during his Odelay tour in 1996. He still wasn't big enough to fill the small venue in Charlotte, so there was plenty of room to get down, get down all the way. Worst Show: Wyclef Jean. Surprisingly, he had a hard time filling the show by himself. He played a lot of records, and kept stopping and talking , and it wasn't entertaining. He needs more talented people like Lauryn Hill around him to work. Edited February 23, 2010 by electricrelish

Seahawks21
I'm opening myself up for all sorts of criticism here: Boyz II Men TLC Wu-Tang Method Man & Redman Alicia Keys Montell Jordan Backstreet Boys (I thought I was going to see Blackstreet!) Soul For Real Aaliyah LL Cool J Brian McKnight Naughty By Nature Stevie Wonder Kenny Chesney Brooks and Dunn Sugarland Gretchen Wilson Big and Rich DIerks Bentley Alabama Pearl Jam (6 times) Tool Ryan Adams The Melvins Guns N Roses Metallica Best: Ryan Adams--absolutely jaw-dropping. Didn't know much about him going in, what a talented guy. Honorable mention---Kenny Chesney--the most fun I've ever had at a show, and the best eye candy by far in the audience. Worst: Stevie Wonder---played only his newest music and barely played any of the classics. The band was surprisingly mediocre. BeeR
Worst: Stevie Wonder---played only his newest music and barely played any of the classics. The band was surprisingly mediocre. Not surprised in the least. I think he had too many years of all these morons surrounding him and telling him everything he did was "genius" ("Stevie! The way you sneezed there! Genius!!") and it finally got to his head. Suspect that happens to a lot of popular arists though - everyone's so busy brown-nosing and nobody dares criticize in the least or push them to stay on top of their game. Does his voice still suck too, ie for a long time now he's had this "I'm so constipated" way of singing - puke Also drives me nuts when an artist barely little to none of their "classic" stuff - I can understand more focus on newer stuff, but cmon. Metheny and Spyro (first time) did that to a fault - I know the majority of their stuff and barely recognized anything, which was made worse by not caring for most of the new stuff to boot. Oh well Was thinking I probably shouldn't have included Marshall Tucker as it was only about 5/6 yrs ago and hardly any of the orig band was left ie wasn't really them..only the orig lead singer, who barely sang (and when he did you knew why, voice was shot). Ditto for the Guess Who, who I accidentally left off, but probably just as well. Edited February 23, 2010 by BeeR
