kpholmes
Probably one of the funniest banters you will read all day. ETA: Fixed link - made it a short url. Link had a bad word The Huddle was changing. Edited April 7, 2010 by kpholmes

wiegie
If that's not real, then it's probably viral marketing for a new Christopher Moore book it's not: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Thorne_(writer)
buddahj
I'm laughing my arse off right now. Thanks...I needed that.
SEC=UGA
I read this while in bed on my black berry last night... My wife was stareing at me like I was insane because I was laughing so hard I was almos t in tears. The best part was when he "thought about it a bit harder and came up with 400 better things to do" or the "cactus wearing a hat part", or the email from god". That was just damn funny. TimC
Just awesome! I'm sitting here waiting for Jesus to return...it's been 2,000+ years already and I had nothing else to do. Is he a procrastinator, lazy, forgotten us or just all in his plan? Still waiting. My main disappointment was he wanted a Toyota. Definitely a sinner. kpholmes
Glad The Huddle stopped filtering all my work-arounds for the URL.

The line about him playing on his Playstation 7 in Nazareth was the best one.
Savage Beatings
Maybe I'm too close to the Chaplain's viewpoint, but it seemed like the Dad was being a dick IMO. Why crap on this guy's faith for no reason?
geeteebee
Meh. I guess I don't get it. The school has a chaplain so obviously it is a private parochial school that the parents choose to send their child to. Any parochial school I've attended or heard of 'indoctrinates' their students to some extent. Why send your kid there if you so vehimently opposed to the school's belief system? TitansFan
Maybe I'm too close to the Chaplain's viewpoint, but it seemed like the Dad was being a dick IMO. Why crap on this guy's faith for no reason? I thought the same thing.
REZ
I would be on the Dad's side except he is choosing to send his kid to this school. If you don't want him to be there, send him to a different school. Guy was being a moran.
I Like Soup
Maybe I'm too close to the Chaplain's viewpoint, but it seemed like the Dad was being a dick IMO. Why crap on this guy's faith for no reason? Agreed. As I read through it though, it did have comedic value!
Azazello1313
Agreed. As I read through it though, it did have comedic value! yeah, it's kinda funny if you read it knowing the guy is trying to be a dick to publish in a book or whatever. reading it thinking it's an actual parent responding to an actual school chaplain makes me want to punch the guy in the mouth.
