muck
My comfortable loafers are trying hard to die. The rubber soles need to be re-glued to the leather uppers. Any ideas what sort of glue I need to buy? Or, is this the sort of thing that some sort of shoe repair guy should charge me $5-10 for? Help me not waste time / money. I've read several stories stating cobblers are making a comeback - it's worth a shot. Hard to beat a great pair of shoes.

No matter what glue you put in there it won't last. They need to prep the soles and uppers for the glue to work.

muck
My wife reminded me that my dad has a pair of shoes similar to mine that he's had for like 20yrs and he's reglued them himself a couple of times. I'll see what he uses. TYVM. Edited June 7, 2010 by muck
Big Country
Dude, Crocs are like $20. Just get a few pairs and rotate them and they'll last longer.
