myhousekey
http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2010/...ing_bac_30.html Look for Chris Ivory to get some more reps in his absence. Also figure they'll sign someone to replace him. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Saints believe the knee injury sustained by Lynell Hamilton Wednesday morning is a torn ACL. BearBroncos
If the story becomes true, I wonder if they will take a hard look at Westbrook.
Avernus
If the story becomes true, I wonder if they will take a hard look at Westbrook. they need a RB who can pound it between the tackles....they already have Bush which is a similar back to what Westy can do now, but is younger and faster... LOL, is it a bad sign when NFL.com takes you totally out of their system. Both current and historical. I can't find any reference in players of Westbrook what so ever. At this point, we are just talking plan B anyway. Certianly, they'll be some pickin's for this role once teams start cutting down their rosters to get to the 53-man limit. But I'd bump PT up a bit here, since the goalline vulture role basically no longer exists in New Orleans with Bell gone and Hamilton done. myhousekey
'key, any validity to this? when Knowshow went down, he tore his ACL and it turned out to be a mild hamstring tear. I haven't read anything that says its officially a torn ACL yet. They are still doing tests. The ACL is just what's being reported (speculated?) over on saintsreport.com (and by ESPN's Adam Schefter). Payton said Hamilton's injury was to his knee, "kind of a freak deal." Said it happened when he planted. Said tests are being done on joint. Edited August 11, 2010 by myhousekey

burton
Confirmed gone for the season: Saints just got MRI results on RB Lynell Hamilton, which confirmed a season-ending ACL injury. They have been looking at RBs lately.

SLAYER
shiat, shiat, shiat. There goes our insurance for when PT goes out for his annual 2-3 games. Lynell was the reason they were not ready to dump a pile of money on PT, now it looks like they will.

I'd say bump PT a bit in all your leagues as he'll get more short yardage & goal line duty.
