Skilly
Broncos at Bengals tonight for Denver's first preseason game. According to camp reports, Orton has been very sharp, Quinn has been throwing lots of interceptions, and Tebow has been holding the ball too long and then throwing it at the feet of his receivers. My predictions: Orton will have a few nice passes, but ultimately their drives will end in field goals. Quinn will throw at least one int. Tebow will come in around the middle of the third quarter, and lead the team to their only touchdown against Cincy's third stringers. It's quite possible that Orton will take a sack and his gimpy little ankles will buckle and he'll be out for the rest of preseason. I am interested in seeing how Tebow does....not that I want him starting games this year. Just want to see him make progress with his mechanics and executing the playbook. Fired up for some Bengal football. Looking to see if Carson continues to get comfortable with TO. Will be fun to see Tebow and how the crowd receives him. budlitebrad
Looked decent in his first game, though it was against Bengals 3rd stringers. He was better than Quinn, I'll give him that. Got a promo code for NFL.com, so I could use the new Preseason Live app online. Pretty good quality and it works like a DVR so you can rewind and all the prior games are archived. Too bad they only offer the regular season outside the US. Edited August 16, 2010 by budlitebrad
Scooby's Hubby
I am already tired of the guy with the first pick of the draft joking "with the 1st pick I take Tim Tebow" , and it has only happened once. I do dig the new haircut, though. Friar Tebow
rajncajn
Seeing the highlights it looked like he played pretty well. His passes were on the mark, even when on the move, showed the arm strength and great touch even though the WR couldn't hold on, played the screen well. The only knock I saw was a little lack of pocket presence when he got blitzed from his front side. Very surprised he didn't see that coming and step up, esp with the movement before the snap. Maybe trying a little too hard to prove he can be a pocket passer? At any rate, even if that's an issue it's something that is very coach-able. He really needs to get his barrrings in the pocket, that's for sure. I was pleasantly surprised with his accuracy and arm strength. He out performed th snot out of Brady, but then, so did my 12 year daughter!
Capt. Stanky
He looked pretty sharp to me as well. I would expect for McDaniels to get him some time with the first and 2nd team in the pre-season. On a side note, how in the hell was Brady Quinn ever considered a franchise QB prospect? The kid has absolutely no confidence or arm strengh out there. It's pretty sad. FantraxCommish
He really took a hit to on that last play of the game!
Skilly
Tebow looked like a rookie.....made some good plays and some really dumb plays. Unfortunately, Quinn just looked completely lost out there. How the hell did he ever start games in the NFL? Most of those passes were just simple out patterns, and he was sailing those 5 yards over the heads of his receivers. Well, all except that floater that was intercepted. Here's hoping he never sees the field in a regular game.
