Chavez
This is the most confusing thread I have ever been involved in. Oh, that is such a lie.
skylive5
I can see your take now, Chavez, on some of the people on this list: http://listverse.com/2008/03/11/top-15-power-trios/
Chavez
I'm throwing Spinal Tap's name into the ring. 5 members - St Hubbins, Tufnel, Smalls, Viv Savage on keyboards, and a rotating cast of drummers.

I LOVE the Femmes, but they ain't a "power" trio; same with Sublime and The Police. POTUSA? Please. Triumph is a low-rent Rush; should be WELL below Blue Cheer - and the list has no Grand Funk Railroad. Boo hiss.

Kid Cid
I would probably vote Motorhead, but SRV and Double Trouble deserves a mention. This may have been mentioned but SRV and Double Trouble was not a trio.
Furd
I change my vote to Rush.

skylive5
Next topic - best band with five hundred kazillion members - Parliament-Funkadelic or Mucca Pazza? Probably Santana if you are asking about everyone that has been in the band at one time or another.
Ursa Majoris
Probably Santana if you are asking about everyone that has been in the band at one time or another. I took it to mean bands with umpteen players on stage at once.

Redfish
Robin Trower? You beat me to this one. Outstanding. Saw him last year, can still jam at 90 y.o. or however old he is.

Beaumont
I like Triumph, as power trios go. They rocked harder than Rush. Edited April 2, 2011 by Beaumont
