goldenboy81
Rotowire I'm looking for other sources right now, this is the first I heard that he might not be playing at all today. That would be huge for Hunter owners.... According to FOX Sports' John Czarnecki, "it sounds like (Frank) Gore will be inactive due to a bad ankle." This chimes with Saturday's report from CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco, who said it's not even a given that Gore (ankle, questionable) would be active Sunday. Kendall Hunter is in line to carry the rock if Gore is indeed sidelined, making for a nice fantasy play against Philadelphia's 30th ranked run defense. Even if Gore suits up, Hunter could see 10-to-15 touches. Oct 2 - 8:16 AM

goldenboy81
Nice, thanks for the quick responses. After reading the exact quote from Czarnecki, it sounds like he was just making an assumption: Fox Sports "The offensive line claims it isn’t as bad as it has looked, but Alex Smith has been running for his life and Frank Gore has found few creases. It sounds like Gore will be inactive due to a bad ankle, meaning that rookie Kendall Hunter better step up. "
Big John
Edited title to reflect this.
goldenboy81
Rotowire According to NFL Network's Albert Breer and ESPN's Sal Paolantonio, Frank Gore (ankle, questionable) will start Sunday in Week 4. Earlier this morning FOX Sports' John Czarnecki wrote that Gore would be inactive, but we're more apt to trust the two well-connected reporters on this one. Though Gore is likely to suit up and start, there's a big question mark surrounding his ability to be effective. Rookie Kendall Hunter figures to have an increased role as Gore's backup. wildcat2334
Hopefully Gore will get the red zone carries. That is , if SF gets to the red zone! I wouldn't count on Gore for chit right now, and with this bad ankle, I am sitting him for one Reginald Bush!! vin
Have Gore but starting Hunter. I feel like Gore will only be used sparingly and most likely tweak that ankle at some point. With my fantasy luck, Gore will probably go for 120 and 2TDs lol.
satchel123
Doing the same as Vin, sitting Gore and starting Hunter.
skhyatt
Doing the same thing here where I can. I'm kind of anxious to see how Hunter does. From what I've seen of him, he definitely has the skills. We'll see.
brockh01
I'm rolling with Kendall Hunter over Mike Williams (TBB) in my flex. Just have a hunch
