Savage Beatings
They would not like it if their forum were usurped. I oppose those who shout down a viewpoint rather than engage it. It's definitely a chicken chit move. If their views are so supperior, what do they have to fear from allowing someone else to voice an opposing view? Just shows their true nature. Marxists must have complete control of the message.
wiegie
let me join the crowd of people who think a demonstration such as this was not only unproductive, but also very likely to make people unsympathetic to the protestors (I know that's how I feel)

Are you fracking kidding me!!!!? It's time for the people's voices to be heard. That was the whole point of that demonstration. Do you really think politicians have been listening to the people? I guess some of you are just brain-washed beyond repair Politicians are the only voices who get heard in this country, that was basically the point of that demonstration if you watched the whole thing. It's the people's way of saying, "It's OUR turn to be heard".

gbpfan1231
Sometimes I feel sorry for Walker, having PO'd people always yelling at him and reminding him how he turned Milwaukee into the Mississippi of the north. Balanced the budget and has saved tons of money and there may even be tax DECREASES. Oh my god - he is evil! He has made life so tough for all these state employees that they are all quitting and runnning into the private sector - Oh wait - nope they still have it better than most. WaterMan
How much does Scott Walker get paid? $137,092 plus housing allowance, pension, and health benefits Read more: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_does_Gov_Sc...d#ixzz1d39ULGjg If that's true, he could save WI about $100,000. But I doubt he's going to lead by example.
bushwacked
Yup, the good people of Wisconsin love this radical and divisive politician. Best governor evah! A majority of Wisconsin residents (59%) disapprove of the way that Scott Walker is handling his job as Governor. In fact, a majority (53%) said they either very much or extremely disapprove of the way Walker is handling the job of being Governor of Wisconsin. The OWS are petulant children throwing a tantrum, closing their eyes and plugging their ears while they shout LA LA LA LA LA LA LA! "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." How is that not the message of the OWS neo-hippies?

Brentastic
The people of Wisconsin elected Walker to deliver this hard message. The OWS are petulant children throwing a tantrum, closing their eyes and plugging their ears while they shout LA LA LA LA LA LA LA! "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." How is that not the message of the OWS neo-hippies? I don't agree with that at all. OWS may be directionless in many aspects but their very inception is a reflection that government (controlled by banks) has taken too much liberties from the people. We didn't get to this point (of mass global defaults and stolen liberties) in a small amount of time. This has been building for several decades. People are fed up and there's no viable avenue for normal people to have their voices heard. It doesn't matter who you vote for because 99% of politicians, regardless of party, are only in it for personal gain. And the bankers control EVERYTHING. What side are you on? What's your position on the global credit crisis that we all face? I'm not saying OWS has the answer but it's about time the people start making some noise. If you can't see that people in power have abused the system for personal gain, then I don't know what to tell you. I do know that more people are seeing the truth and that's a beautiful thing! Savage Beatings
Is it like the Catholic Church's view on Socialism? Should I label Catholics the same manner as you here? The Marxist bogeyman is gonna get ya! So you think that the OWS neo-hippies would NOT promote the central tenet of Karl Marx? "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." Sounds to me exaclty what they are preaching in their semi-coherent displays of collective will. Go ahead. Lie or otherwise try to divert from the truth. Squirm and tap-dance. Do ANYTHING but admit what we can clearly see.

You know, the funny thing is, I'm one of the few long-timers here that doesn't dismiss you as a kook and crap on your threads. I tend to agree with a lot of what you say. But in my opinion this is not the voice of the people finally being heard. I'm not pro-politician. I'm pro-liberty. And these dicks clearly don't give a flying burrito about liberty in the slightest. Do you really think that this message has NEVER had a medium? Do you really think that shouting down opposing opinions is an effective way to pursuade people to believe what you believe? I just find it funny that you worship in an organization whose leadership calls for a “global public authority” and a “central world bank” to rule over financial institutions. Then have the gall to cast Socialist/Marxist stereotypes on the entire OWS movement with all the wit and insight of a tossturd or H8stank. I’m sure some of the OWS protestors are Marxists as sure as some of the tea party are racists. Edited November 7, 2011 by bushwacked

Even if that means not agreeing with the politics of the leaders of my Church. I'm sure you wouldn't understand the nuance between faith and politics and how I can very easily disagree with any political statement the Catholic Chruch makes without in any way compromising my faith. That kind of thinking is a bit too subtle for someone like you. Good job changing the direction of the conversation away from your hippie brethren though. That's all you can do. Because admitting the truth ends the ride. Ho wis it that a group of people claiming that they are fed up with the government can only propose solutions that require more bigger and better government? You have to at least admit that the state has now uncovered that WEAC was raping the taxpayer. That you have to admit has saved the tax payers a ton of money. You are blind if you can not at least see that little morsel. He has done a ton - I will admit that some things he has done are against your best interest but it may be in the best interest of the taxpayer.
