WashingtonD
Might just be rumor as I haven't seen an official source, but there are more than a few tweets circulating that "Colston tore his ACL in an off-season workout" Heads up to folks in RFA in dynasty leagues as something they may want to keep an eye on

lennykravitz2004
Hey did you guys hear about Marques Colston. Somebody told me he goes down to Home Depot and pays the migrant workers to go to his house and choke him in the shower. Could a mod delete or change title to read - False rumor please! D Its not just twitter, its the bloggers, the internet in general the using one very untrusted source as another source. Twitter has just pushed it to a new high.

piratesownninjas
Twitter has just pushed it to a new high. Or maybe it's the fact that people are following the fake Adam Schefter.

stevegrab
Or maybe it's the fact that people are following the fake Adam Schefter. Possibly. Maybe its the people who believe everything they read/hear without checking for a CREDIBLE source. further explanation of my view Twitter and internet blogging has allowed people to put on the air or being somebody they are not, but using a name (like Schefter) or a having a website with lots of "news". Before this era you had to either get on TV, radio or newsprint to be even heard by more than your local circle. I'm not blaming these new things, just saying their abuse, and the willingness by many simpletons to believe it all are a huge contributor to the spread of misinformation. Even with credible news source the speed with which news travels now allows a rumor started by one person (even the real Adam Schefter) spread by many others (solely based on the rumor without checking any facts). Like the celebrity (forget who it was) that was recently said to be dead on Wikipedia and that spread like wild fire before it could be stopped.
