Got an email from FBG. Washington is also trying to work out a trade with the Dolphins for Steve Slaton. And it's being reported that the Skins are in love with Alfred Morris.

Slaton to DC makes some sense. Slaton played for Kyle in Houston and he fits the zone blocking scheme. However, is he a third down specialist at this point or a real contender for 1st/2nd down carries in Washington (if the deal happened) at this later stage in his career?

Hi Folks,

It's always a wild day as teams cut down rosters and today is no different.

After we were ready to believe Tim Hightower was going to do things in Washington, he was released today. Proving once again that nobody really knows what Mike Shanahan will do. RB Alfred Morris is the guy currently getting all the love in Washington but with Shanahan it's truly tough to say. Washington is reportedly in trade talks with Miami for RB Steve Slaton as I write this.

Another cut of note is New England releasing WR Deion Branch. That one is less surprising as the Patriots have just so many receiving weapons.

We'll try to stay up with these for you. Have a great Friday.

Or not. LoL!

I really think it would be solid veteran depth knowing the system. However, it's Shananigans so, he could be signed and started the next day. And on top of it rush for 100 yards and score 2 TDs.

Morris is the guy to own riht now but there will be times this season that it's Helu and times where it's Royster.
