If you can't answer the question, why even respond? You're just trying to hijack the thread. no one thinks you're witty.

Because there are a half dozen other threads talking about this, so stop being lazy and jamming up the threads with your petty question. Try reading a little and join in the conversations already going. End of line.

If you have no idea how to find any information online (or are just too lazy to look) ask somebody else, then get upset when people tease you for it.

For the record CMike had one carry for -1 yards. Nobody really took Dunbar's places because none of them have his skills.

If anyone was watching the cowboys game Sunday night. Who took over in the second half for Dunbar as the 3rd down back? Randle, McFadden or Michael? Thank you.

Jerrah

Well here's the situation. We have Average Joe Randle, Darren Mcfadden, and the mega hyped Christine Micheal. Randle has MAJOR issues between the ears. DMC is the consensus injury risk, and CMike is the consensus overhyped, Seattle cast off that somehow is suppose to be our savior but has similar issues between the ears.

Randle infuriated his RB coach and the head coach with is ballerina, one armed 180 twist at the goal line which ended up being a TD but just as easily could have ended up a fumble. Not only was he scolded for doing that a similar move in practice, followed up by another defiant goal line jump last week in which both the coach, GM and RB coach told him during the week just before Sunday "not to do that again", yet there he was again on Sunday night going up with one hand, backwards with the ball in one hand.

So you'd think he would be apologetic after this last bit of defiance yet his response........ "It was 6".

Leaving the RB coach on the sidelines kicking the bench, yelling and screaming while Average Joe just smirks wondering what all the hub bub is all about. After getting benched for the remainder of the game after getting the first two series of the second half, you can see Average Joe all by himself, away from teammates, pouting.

So here's the quandary. We need Average Joe and if he gets benched for DMC or CMike and loses his starting gig they might loose him mentally for the season. He's a fragile minded kid that won't be able to handle the public demotion and humiliation. So if we do what everyone knows should happen and that's either start and stay with DMC or CMike, we lose a player we need to perform this year if something should happen to the other two.

So what you are going to see is Average Joe Randle start to keep him mentally involved, like a child you have to placate in order to keep them engaged while DMC or CMike gets the lion shares of carries, short yardage and Goal line.

Bottom line, I would be very surprised if we ever see Randle in goal line duty the rest of the season thus limiting his TD stats. DMC and CMike will share short yardage and goal line duties until one emerges as the guy.

Until either Weeden starts making some plays down field or Romo gets back the running game is going to be difficult to depend on as teams continue to squeeze the box and play single safety high looks.

cowboyz1,

I actually read that entirely and it makes sense. I still think Weeden is playing pretty well, he's no Romo and cannot move as much in the pocket, but few teams with good QBs have a comparable backup. He made some nice passes to Witten down field and one to Williams for a TD on the drive to tie the game. If he had Dez I think the passing game would be better, and the running game too. But honestly even with the great OL and Romo the running game wasn't as good as last year. I think a big part is replacng Murray with the 3 headed monster.

Randle is the closest thing

I read the other threads and they didn't answer who the 3rd down back going forward will be.

Just playing Devil's Advocate here, guy.... I think what he's saying is that you could have very easily posted your question in one of those threads and achieved the same results. Starting a new thread on essentially the same topic - or a very relate-able off-shoot - just muddles things up, makes it more difficult to find and post new information, etc.

Not trying to pile on, talk junk, etc. It's just kind of board etiquette, and not just this board.
