It looks like Jay Cutler has used up all the goodwill he earned after leading the Bears to an upset win over the Vikings in Week 8.

Apparently, the goodwill went out the window after Chicago's 36-10 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.

According to Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman, most of the Bears' locker room "has given up on Cutler." Freeman also added that at least one player felt that Cutler's preparation for the Tampa game was "truly embarrassing."

The irony here for Bears fans is that they probably felt like Cutler didn't prepare at all for the game. In the 26-point loss, Cutler played one of the worst games of his 11-year career, which is saying a lot, because Cutler has played some bad games.

In the loss, Cutler threw for 182 yards and a touchdown, along with two interceptions, which is even worse than it sounds. Cutler's total would've been absolutely atrocious if he hadn't connected on a 50-yard Hail Mary for a touchdown right before halftime. If you take that out, then Cutler threw for 132 yards with zero touchdowns and two interceptions.

Speaking of those picks, Cutler turned the ball over three times, all in the first 16 minutes of the game. On the Bears' second possession, Cutler threw an interception, which was followed up by a pick-six on Chicago's next possession.

Cutler would also lose a fumble two possessions later, which means he turned the ball over three times on four possessions and gave the Bucs a free touchdown with the pick-six. Cutler also handed Tampa two more points in the third quarter when one of his fumbles turned into a safety.

The Bears quarterback didn't have too much to say after the game.

"Any given week, you can win, you can lose. It depends on how you execute," Cutler said, via ESPN.com. "Obviously, we didn't get the job done today."

Unfortunately for the Bears, they don't really have anyone to turn to right now. If they decide to bench Cutler, they would have to move forward with Matt Barkley, who has never started a game. In his only appearance this season, Barkley threw two picks in a Week 7 loss to the Packers.

Why does it matter? Play Jay, lose more games, get a better draft pick and send Cutler packing in the off season. Use him for every dime you can.

I have trouble believing that Cutler could be worse than Barkley. But I've only seen Barkley against the Packers when he completed 6 of 15 passes with 2 interceptions.

Whole team sounds like a hot mess, Cutler losing the locker room, Alshon jucing and suspended.

Does Fox keep his job or do the Bears completely clean house.

Shame my Browns don't get to play some of the other really crappy teams (SF, CHI, JAX) surely we'd have a chance to get a win.

No, Cutler is gone after the season. They need to find out what they have in Barkley, so they might as well lose with him.

There's no future with Jay, he's dead weight now. And he knows it, evident in his preparation for TB.

IDK Barkley, but they still need to find out if he's so terrible that they need 2 QB's for next season.

There's less point in playing Jay Cutler.

Also, you have to do what's best for the team sometimes. Similar to the Vikings cutting kicker Chris Walsh. The Vikings did so for the team. Enough is enough.

Blair Walsh, and the situations are quite different.
