krk9590
I own Gordon but I've been thinking and he isn't really reliable on a ton of targets...he can put up huge numbers without getting the 10+ a game that Edelman needs to be a bottom tier WR1/WR2. It also hurts the # of RZ opportunities he will get IMO along with James White given how deadly AB and Gordon are in the RZ. So what do you guys think...who is going to suffer the most here? Gordon, White, Michel, and/or Edelman?

League_Champion
Brady will be the first QB to throw for a thousand yards in one game. 1
Darkwing1232
I think they'll hand Sony even less balls than they already do.

Crazy man they came into the preseason looking like a very run heavy team with Michel a lock for 20+ carries a game and Edelman as their #1 and seemingly a lock for 100 catches...couple weeks later they now have the most pure talented WR (Gordon) in football and the best WR in football with Edelman in the slot. Smh what a joke...
League_Champion
Drop NE's defense. NE will have a ton of 3 play TD drives now. The defense will never get off the field.

Not to mention calling Gordon the most pure talented WR in football is a bit of a stretch.

Fat Cat
I don't think the adding of AB is going to negative affect on Sony Michel because adding AB to the offense just gives NE another option to open up the offense in the passing game to than make the defenses focus on that leaving the running game open for Michel to flourish more in the backfield. The guy it may affect the most is AB himself mostly because there are too many talented players for Tom Brady to throw the ball to. This will end up getting AB irritated in a week or two if he feels he isn't getting the mother load of catches he deserves.
Gourdeau
The more i think about this the more I think the person it affects the most is AB himself. He's going from 12-15 targets in Pittsburgh ( likely would have been the case in Oakland also) to max 7 targets a game with the pats. The days of consistently getting 10 catches for 120 and a td are over. He's no longer a top 10 fantasy WR. People will argue and say no they'll recreate their offense and feature AB. No they won't. That's not who they are. They spread it around to whoever is open. The target share is massive. Edleman isn't taking a backseat, White isn't taking a back seat, Gordon isnt taking a back seat at this point. Sony is gonna run the ball in the games where Bill wants to expose the run defenses. Also what people dont seem to realize is that although AB was a good route runner in Pittsburgh, he free lanced a ton within those routes to be able to find openings for big gains. This required improvising by the oline and Ben which they had certainly become accustomed to. Tom isn't that guy. Hes a precision passer. Their passing system is precise. Be where you're supposed to be. When your route is 6 yards and out you better be at 6 and out and not at 8 yards or else you're getting chewed out. Tom doesn't hold onto the ball, if you're not where yore supposed to be he chucks it away. Radio host made this theory about the AB signing and it makes so much sense. Pats were a terrible kc defensive penalty and coin toss away from being out of the SB last year. Gronk was a big factor in both the AFC title game and the reg season win. Bill has tremendous difficulty designing his defense against Andy Reid historically ( this includes the Reid Tree, recently Matt Nagy and Doug Pedersen ). Bill knows Reid and Mahomes are gonna put up 35 against them because Reid always has dating back to the Superbowl with the Eagles. With Gronk gone Bill needed a weapon. AB was signed for that one or two (AFCCG) meetings with KC. 1 more weapon ahead of or equal with of KC. Interesting take.
