Michigan is horrible

Lloyd Carr is being exposed - he can recruit but he can't (or at least doesn't) coach up his players and get them to play better than they are.

Michigan has been coasting on talent for several years; Carr gets outcoached at LEAST twice a year (probably more but the fact he just has better players than every other program in the Big Ten aside from OSU and any other program in the nation aside from the top ten or fifteen) and is a liability on game day.

Unfortunately, if he gets let go (I think the bullet-proofness of his national title is fading), UM will make ANOTHER safe, uninspired, in-house choice and remain short of the true elite in the college game.

Seriously, I am starting to think that PSU might be the cream of the crop in the Big 10, especially after Wisconsin's loss to NW.

This time of year comes about every other year for Minnesota fans. They put themselves in a position where, with 3-4 games left in the season, they have a chance to make a run at the conference title, only to blow a home game or road game against a much inferior opponent. It will be interesting to see how this season plays out, but I would expect Penn State, Ohio State, and MSU to be at the top come season's end.

Agreed except I think they may hire outside the program this time similar to Michigan Basketball although Tommy isn't panning out like we had hoped.

The earth has been spinning for a while with Lloyd. It's great we have x many years in a row in New Years Day games and x amount of weeks in the Top 25 (before a few weeks ago) but as Chavez stated he's coasted on talent for years, his coaching philosoph(very passive until backed against a wall) is terrible. Prescott Burgess for example should be better then he is, I am sure it's partly him but I think a better coach / staff would make him and other defensive players better.

1997 was great, Woodson and the Defense carried that team for the most part but that was now 8 years ago (WOW) and I think it's time to move on from the Carr regime.

Be careful what u wish for with Carr, his resume speaks for itself. Do I think sometimes, MIchigan should do better, sure, But what MIchigan has done the past 30yrs is remarkable. Every other team has had a down fall but Michigan.Carr is has like 5-6 bigten titles and 1 Nc. Thats pretty consistant. Im not 1 to make excuses, but with the youth and injurys this team has sustain, its not surprising

there struggling. Its not the skilled position thats hurting us, its the OL, because of constant changes, the line has not gelled yet, it has been different every game.

All u M fans complaining, about 2-3 losses a year, what are u thinking now.

After this weekend, MIchigan St or Ohio St, will have 2 losses in the big ten.

Can u imagine, MIchigan 3-4 losses and Ohio St 3 losses in the same year. What the Heck?

Hey Buckeyes, Are u calling for tressels head, like there call for Carrs head?

I'm not. Tressell is a huge improvement from Cooper, and his defense has been solid every year. Didn't have any offense last year, Ginn made a few big plays in the 2nd half of the season. Still don't have any offense this year.

Michigan's situation is only aggravated by the fact that I'm a Michigan native transplanted OHIO!!! It's been hell here for two years. I can't take another UofM loss to the Hairless Nuts.

I've learned that no matter who is coach, you never count out the Wolverines. I say they end this little fairy tale Penn State is living in this week. Penn State is good, but the thought of that team going undefeated in the Big Ten doesn't seem like it will happen. I think Minnesota is better than people give them credit for. They played very well defensively. There were many chances where Michigan coulda got them, but Minnesotas d stepped it up. I'm seeing Minnesota and Penn State losses this weekend. And I hate to say it, but my Hawkeyes might get a test from Indiana, on our soft secondary. The Big Ten is just like that... undefeated seasons just don't happen very often in the Big Ten. Any given week, a Northwestern can beat a Wisconsin, and a Minnesota can beat a Michigan.

As a Penn State alum, I don't care how bad Michigan looks until we play them and win. We haven't had any luck against them the last few years and they could wake us up from our nice little dream very easily. Of course they are not their usual top notch team, but God, I hope we win.
