rocknrobn26
I've never seen a double post spread apart by 3 minutes and 2 other posts. Your twitchy finger that slow? Yeah..............I'm old! I'd agree - all due props to the Bears defense absolutely dragging the other 40-odd teammates and coaches along with them to the win, but the Cards pulled a monumental choke job on every level but their defense. True, but that makes the diff! Being oportunistic! Sarge..................................Too early to say! The best have always looked weak at times! I'm not sayin' they won't fade, but sayin' they will fade is just a guess! Nothing more...nothing less!
Chavez
No, I think Grossman's decision-making sucked beachballs tonight....luckily his defense and special teams bailed him out. 168 yds, 6 turnovers, and 9 1st downs is more than just a "bad night for your QB". That's either total offensive failure or a darn good defensive performance. A combination of the two, at least.
Bill Swerski
The Bears defense didn't give up. But they did give up 230+ yards to a rookie QB that played very conservatively from the end of the 2nd quarter on. The Bears are good and it never hurts to have luck on your side. I think it is very clear that the Bears may not be as good as a lot of us thought one week ago. And I think it's very clear that they're still the best team in the NFL. I've seen teams win without an offense, but I don't think I've ever seen a team with DESPITE an offense. When a team can come back from a 20-point deficit on defense and special teams alone, there's something very special going on.
Primetime9287
I think what this game proved is that the Bears O isnt as good as people thought. I wasn't buying it, and now Im really not. #1 in Points For and #2 in PA. The #2 will continue to stay up there or get better, but hopefully Bears fans will come back to the reality that Grossman is not Peyton Manning, and Berrian/Muhammad are not Harrison/Wayne. The Bears didn't win anything. The Cards (NAY: Green) lost this game. The bears were just on the other end. Don't pretend like the D showed up hard core in the 2nd either. Leinart drove on them like they were the Raiders. Leinart. A rookie. The Bears D. The Bears never showed up here. One strip and bad call by the refs and the Bears are very special? if you meant to type re tarded and the filter caught..then ok.

The important thing is that Grossman realizes that he's not Peyton Manning or Brett Favre. Rex has some serious skills, but he's an immature little d0uche at times. Playing on MNF is about winning, Rex, not putting together a highlight reel.

I guess, I just think that Leinhart could have thrown for 300+ and 3 TDs very easy, even with his suspect O-line. LooGie
So then I ask you: who is better? (not being fececious here) The Bears are better, but i would've said that even if they lost. I'm not talking better, or even records. I'm talking this one game.
Bill Swerski
I guess, I just think that Leinhart could thrown for 300+ and 3 TDs very, even with his suspect O-line. Sure, but I wouldn't group Leinart in with a typical NFL rookie. I said that he'd be a much better QB than Young back in April and I'm sticking with it. Keep in mind as well that Grossman gave Leinart six extra opportunities (a few deep in Bears territory) and allowed ARI's offense to control the clock throughout the game. gilthorp
One and Done for the Bears in the playoffs. Either Carolina, dallas, NY, Philly or Seattle will thump this team again. Chicago's offense is still pathetic. The Bears have to get a lead and have the Bears D tee off to beat a good team. When that doesnt happen, like tonight, they look like the Raiders on offense. One and done, again. I'll take some of this action when it comes time.
URLACHERisGOD
I'll take some of this action when it comes time. Hey gilthorp. Of course you and I have gone back and forth for years on this. So, after watching tonight's performance, has your opinion on Urlacher changed at all?
Bill Swerski
Does that mean you think the Bears are going to win the World Series with pitching? Yep, and clutch home runs as well.
crispirons
I'll take some of this action when it comes time. he hasn't responded to me about this either. i hope he's just biding his time. leinert will be better than grossman. this was one crazy game we had no business winning but did. no team is invincible (besides the 72 dolphins) and the undefeated talk will just fire up other teams. i almost hope we lose a game so that pressure gets taken off. grossman has to learn from his mistakes. theres a time to sling it and a time to dink it. in his defense, the oline did not play as well as they had in previous games. give zona credit for that, they came out fired up. Primetime9287
Yep, and clutch home runs as well. Who ya pullin for in the MLB Bill? I know your Sox got the luck of playing in the AL so they didnt make it even though they were prolly better than 1/2 the NL teams record wise (and talent wise for that matter). I'm rooting for a Cards/Tigers Series with Tigers winning it all. Edit: I dunno about you, but I was hoping for another repeat of the 2005 WS with Your Sox and my 'Stros Edited October 17, 2006 by Primetime9287
Pope Flick
Without a doubt, Leinert has the goods. I'm sure many a Vikings fan will agree with me: Denny Green hasn't changed. Instead of putting the foot on the throat and pressing he clams up, and starts to "play not to lose" instead of continuing to play to win. In the end,, that costs him the game. Urlacher took this game over singlehandedly, and fired up the rest of the D with him. Grossman was exposed, which means we can sstop the "Brett Favre'like" talk/bs. Also, the running game is a mess, and watching TJ do a shake n bake was driving me nuts. North-south, bro. Norht-south. They reminded me tonight on offense of Wanstadt';s track meet team, and that scared the hell out of me. A large distraction is being created with all the 'undefeated' & 'are they better than the 85 bears' talk.
JoJoTheWebToedBoy
Bear fans, take the win, sacrifice a Bird to the Football Gods (oops, already did that), and get out of Arizona. You got lucky tonight.

Edit: I dunno about you, but I was hoping for another repeat of the 2005 WS with Your Sox and my 'Stros I'm rooting for the Cards, my second-favorite team. (I also hate NY sports teams, except for the Giants.) I don't think that STL will do it, though, despite the fact that the Mets have jack sh!t for pitching, outside of Glavine. The Cards can't score runs, even against the Mets' mediocre pitching. Rolen and Edmonds are shells of their former selves. But it's probably a moot point because I don't think that either team has a shot at beating the Tigers. Outside of their defense, DET is rock-solid. I'm predicting a five-game series and wouldn't be surprised if they swept.

Im not betting on Chicago winning a home game in the playoffs striaght up. Its a sucker bet. Im saying this team is 6-0, and has yet to play a good team. IN fact on their Schedule, they may only play 1 all season, until the playoffs, in which case they again wont be tested and will get throttled like a year ago.
