Any Alexander owners worried?

I'm just curious how bad he looked today. I traded for him 2 weeks ago and started him today. It didn't cost me, but what am I looking at going forward? A stud Rb that has to shake off some rust or an aging, lost-a-step #2 (or even worse flex) RB? Just looking for insight from any Alexander owners or Seahawks fans that watched the game. Thanks.

sea got down early... and didn't seem to have the ball much in the 1st half (turnovers).... second half they had to pass. i think he had a couple of nice runs called back as well..... i think he'll be ok.... seemed strong enough to have the pile move forward.... of coarse it hurt this week that i benched henry for him this week (just didn't think he would ahve a great day vs philly) :D

I watched most of the game since I own both Alexander and Gore, but I think Shaun will be ok. He looked a bit slow, but the offense was chit as a whole. Wallace looked really bad in the first half.

I'm not making any judgements until I see him against GB next week. The best thing I saw was Shaun planting and cutting, and NOT limping at all during the game.

SA looked slow to me as well. It may be the steel toe boots they have him wearing to protect his feet. When I was watching the game I kept noticing how much faster Gore was. I am concerned because he was my first pick in a league. The benefit of the Seahawks being in such a mediocre nfc west, is SA may have to develop his mid season form into week 16.

I did not see the game but I expected far more out of him this week. I started him over Lundy. SA is on the bench behind SJax, TJones and Lundy until further notice..................

I did the same thing - started SA over Lundy. Luckily it didn't cost me, thanks to Mr. Gore. I may have to think about benching SA for Ronnie Brown, depending on matchups.

SA didn't look too good yesterday and getting down by 21 points early didn't help to much. I was forced to start him in a 16-team league, but I was just wondering why you'd be expecting so much after a guy came off a long layoff and Holmgren also mentioned he "might" get double digit carries.

I actually wasn't expecting that much - I was just surprised by the amount of negativity directed at him, particularly on a Seahawks message board I checked out. I was just looking for some other opinions on his performance. I may be a glass 1/2 full guy - Morris only got 2 carries to SA's 17. I'm thrilled with that.

Shaun got paid. Eddie George anyone??

Are you implying that Eddie George mailed it in Antonio Freeman-style after getting a big contract? I strongly disagree with that. Eddie's legs went to crap because the Titans ran him into the ground. From his rookie year up until 2001, he was pretty much their entire offense (McNair didn't become an elite passer until about his 5th or 6th year in the league). Including the playoffs, Eddie had 858 carries in '99 and '00. Not surprisingly, his yds/carry average dropped like a rock after that.

Didn't see the game, however what I like about SA is that he doesn't normally get yanked at the goal line. That has to be worth something. Got to think getting back Hassel will help SA as well.

Well, on the positive end of things he appeared to be running stronger and faster as the game went along and had some good runs called back on penalties. It is disconcerning that the O-line got outplayed after playing well the past 2 games, but they may have all their starters back next week.

That offense is a far cry from last year's.

A patchwork O-line, MVP RB, starting QB, leading WR from last year, all out due to injuries has a little bit to do with that. I still think the NFC is wide open and look forward to the Hawks getting healthy, and it seems like they are on the verge.

i realized my mistake when I made it, and did not specify the proper content. How is this then.....Eddie's legs going to crap=Shaun Alexander getting paid. I meant the comparison in terms of production, and how it all of a sudden just ceased.
