Deacon Frost
Westbrook is my #2 back and has two excellent game the last couple of weeks...the most grind it out type of games he's had in recent memory. I miss the TD's he scored with Philly flying high, but he's doing well. What do you guys and gals think about his new situation. Can or will Garcia/Feeley get the ball into Westy's hand in the passing game like McNabb?...maybe even more opportunities for him if they throw short more whereas McNabb went deep more? ...or does Westy get hurt more b/c the offense itself is just generally less effective without McNabb in there and the problems indirectly trickle down to his productivity? I was glad to see the #1 team in our league lose McNabb (especially since I'm #2), but I have to admit I'm still concerned about what it means to me. Chadman
I was going to go back and research the offense when McNabb was out, I would guess it would be kind of similar, but don't know. I just made moves last week to dedicate myself to Westbrook, Gore and the Carolina backs, and I'm worried, too. I would have to think he will be a focal point of the offense, but I don't know if that's a good thing. Any locals with input?
MrTed46
I think McNabbs injury affects the entire team from DST to Westbrook, Stallworth, R Brown. He was the offense IMO. Don't attack me if you have a hardon for the Eagles that JMHO.

In one play they went from "playoff contender" to "uh oh, there goes our season."

chonchito
obviously philly's o won't be as good, but westbrook will get the ball even more i would think. the problem w/that is it increases his already high chance of getting injured. Missoula Griz
It will hurt Westbrook's numbers. Teams now dont have to fear the strong arm of Mcnabb. They will concentrate on shutting Westbrook down first, and force the Qb to beat them. Poor Eagles..
BlindZebra
I think they concentrated on him first anyway. He certainly go tgood numbers yesterday AFTER McNabb was carted off. I know I am probably gonna hear that I am crazy but McNabb's throws have been awful this year. I don't know how may times he has missed a reciever or thrown it into the ground. He has been fantastic on big plays but I've seen some pretty awful three and outs all year long. I think Westbrook continues to have good numbers. You've got a good seasoned vet at QB in Philli. It's not like you're throwing a rookie to the wolves there. Westbrook is my go to guy and he will remain that wekk in and week out. I am going to pick up buckhalter because I do think defenses are going to close in and make Garcia who he hasn't lost it.
Royal 88s
I personally think that his numbers will increase w/o McNafro. In PPR leagues, he could average 10 catches the rest of the way. The only issue is will he hold up under the stress? That is what I worry about.
Flyeaglesfly
Being a die hard Eagles fan and a Westy owner, it saddens me to say that the Eagles will only win 2 more games for the remainder of the year. Westy numbers will drop off BIG TIME. I watched the titians stuff 9 men in the box, because Garcia can not throw the ball down the field. everything was thrown uderneath. Westy & Buck had to break takles to even p/u positive yards on dumbs out of the backfield. Its over!

Wild Wombat
My guess is: rushing yards down, passing yards up, TDs probably down (but they weren't that huge to begin with). I'm not sure what Feeley's arm strength is, but if Garcia is the QB, Westbrook and LJ Smith will get alot of passes thrown their way. The Eagles will not be getting yardage from the downfield passing game very often the rest of the way.

I don't see anyway this can possibly help Westbrook, even if her does get more touches. There will be so much attention on him that he wont be able to do much with the them. No team is gonna respect Garcia/Feely the way they respect McNabb
Avernus
every Eagles fantasy value drops at least 50% after yesterday.....
ebartender
I don't think the QB matters. Westbrook will get his touches. I think the bigger problem is the receivers not being able to hold on to the damn ball. If Westbrook is the only person who can catch he will get a lot more touches not matter who the QB is. scuba chuck
every Eagles fantasy value drops at least 50% after yesterday..... I'll put money against this with regards to Westbrook (unless you're assuming a season-ending injury). I might even give odds...
