Vinatieri Is God
You'd better be from there. Per Ticketmaster: "The San Diego Chargers have restricted sales to the Divisional Playoff game to residents of Southern California and the surrounding area only. Residency will be based on your credit card billing address. Orders by residents outside of Southern California will be canceled without notice and refunds given". That's a first. Vet
I understand what the organization is trying to accomplish, but if someone was denied tickets and really wanted to challenge that in court I guarantee you the Chargers would lose the case. Regardless, tickets are available on StubHub - at reasonable prices I might add - to anyone who wants them. charty
There was an earlier post where the Bears were doing the same thing (Illinois or northern Indiana). SD has no problem selling tickets to Raider fans when things are bad, though. My take is if a team wants to do this, they should only sell at the box office. If you want to limit it to local fans, then you deal with the lines outside your box office, and sell to just your fans. If they put their tickets on sale on a WW site like Ticketmaster, then deal with it.
Vinatieri Is God
Any San Diego fans want to chime in? Do you guys also have a separate area in the back of the restaurants out there where the "New Englanders" can eat?

Whiskey Pimp
The company I work for will do packages for this game (and all other playoff games and SB) no problem.
darin3
SD has no problem selling tickets to Raider fans when things are bad, though. When things are bad? Can you define that? For several years now, those scummy Raider fans had to jump through some hoops to buy OAK/SD tickets. If you wanted to buy a ticket to that specific game, you also had to buy tickets to 2 other games.
Chargerz
I'm not sure I believe sales are being restricted. I'm betting there will be plenty of New England fans in the stands. Fans from the visiting team are well represented at just about every Chargers home game.

And there will be plenty of New England fans in the stands because so many have moved out there to get out of the cold!
msaint
Wow. Hope their team isn't as scared of New Englanders as their ownership is. I've had absolutely nothing against the Chargers, the fans seem both hardcore and good natured, and the team seems made up of top-notch players and people (well, maybe aside from 'roid monger, Merriman), but this seems kinda amateurish/bush league, no? pseudolefty
Medudo, you just qualified for tickets to the SD/NE game this weekend Too funny man, too funny Yes, Menudo, that was good for a laugh. I'm impressed at the list you pulled out. The scary thing is that I remember every one of those players in that list.
msaint
Marion Butts, also a Pats alumnus. But he was in the "ankle-tackled after 1.6 yards" stage of his career when we got him. And speaking of players in common, shame Harrison and Seau aren't in this game, would be an extra storyline to an already killer matchup. Vinatieri Is God
We had a saying for Marion Butts..."If you need 2 yards he'll get you 3. If you need 5 yards, he'll still get you 3"

Gdawg
Yeah, it was a tough slog to win the SB with Marion Butts...many times I was forced to rely on the arm of Billy Jo to take me to the Promised Land Now give me Christian Okoye and it was SMOOTH sailing
