gilthorp
If they want, they can not only get the top rated TE but also a very good WR in the early second. I'd be very pleased with Olsen and either Jarrett/Smith/Gonzalez.
gilthorp
Can't believe he lasted this far and it's a solid pick at a position that's a big need area. I hope he's not soft, because on paper, he looks like the real deal. He can be a Pro Bowler in that set up, just look was Desmond Clark finally did last year, and he's not that good. Agree 100 % Olsen was an absolute steal this late. I can't believe he fell this far.
darin3
Would have also been pleased with Pozlauausdkfansky.

crispirons
i do wonder if the bears will run more 2 te sets now? how much is this guy going to cost us in blocking?? grossman needs a good pass catching te so either way, i think it benefits us. although, grossman hits about the same percentage of his passes whether they are 5 yard passes or 25. as long as they address other needs the pick is fine. i hope they go oline instead of wr with the next pick. or db or dl for that matter. i don't think our wr corp is that bad. could use a little juice i guess. gilthorp
Clark is a crappy blocker as well. This type of TE will help spread the field quite a bit. It only makes sense if they get another upgrade at WR IMO. However, I have a feeling they're going OL with the next pick.
Ursa Majoris
What's going on with the Bears 2nd rounder? Did they trade it to SD?
Big John
What's going on with the Bears 2nd rounder? Did they trade it to SD? Yes, and got a lot of picks in return.
half_hennessy
The Bears got 63, 93, 167 and a 3rd next year
Bill Swerski
Good pick for the Bears.
crispirons
monster trade for the bears. they would rather have a bunch of fresh blood than one single higher touted player. look what they did last yr with mid round picks. absolutely love it. lets see what kind of value they get with the glut of picks coming. <salivating>

Ursa Majoris
My first thought was they'd traded it to SD for Turner.

Wolverines Fan
Never heard of this DE they just got. Me neither. Not to knock the guy, but did they really need another DE?
gilthorp
Not sure what their plans are with him, but he's very much undersized to play on the line. He is very quick. Just watched a two minute clip of his highlights. Kind of reminded me of Patrick Kearney, but a little smaller.
Outshined
Garrett Wolfe - RB, Northern Illinois 5'7" and 177 lbs http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/players/draft/535079 I don't understand this pick although I don't mind being that your in the same division... gilthorp
Not sure about the Wolfe pick either, obviously undersized in a big way. However, he is pretty durable, and he put up very big numbers. Even in games he played against teams like Michigan and Ohio State, he played well and is very productive. I think the main thing here is that he had a workout for the Bears along with many other locals, and they flat out said that the ball never once touched the ground in any of the passes he was catching. Still, a reach IMO.
