cliaz Posted August 12, 2007 Share Posted August 12, 2007 My bad, i'm Dyslexic I meant 5-11. All of the Boston Redsox fans thought they had it so hard before they finally won the WS. Let me tell you, spend 1 year as a skins fan. Its painful. I've seen almost nothing on offense that suggests they will do anything this season. We have a running game that so far has given us 1.5 yards per carry. Our QB is 5 for 11 for 98 yards and 2 fumbles Missed a FG already Offensive line looks bad at best. The defense has looked great against the run…..though it is the running duel of White and Brown. Still Fletcher looked good. The secondary [most of which are 1st round picks] looked so-so, maybe even okay. All and all I know its still preseason but Christ on a stick the entire team looked like a bunch of retarded monkeys screwing footballs. I’m not very optimistic at all. Think about it, no Samuels or Portis, Moss hasn't been practicing everyday, and it was the first game. JC threw the ball well and looked comfortable in the pocket. He went 6-14 for 100+. He had two dropped and didn't come close to throwing a pick. He made solid decisions and threw the ball deep well (you can count on one hand the number of times Brunell threw deep last season). He had those two fumbles, but the pressure came from his blindside both times (Samuels side)--they had an undrafted rook over there. And for the most part they had Cooley running dummy routes. He'll be much more involved when the games count and the running game gets cranked up. The run game was nonexistent--true--but it's the vanilla preseason. Betts only had 4 carries. After last season's preseason debacle, I'm encouraged that we can take some real steps this year. The defense looked fast and that's without Marcus Washington. To see Landry blitzing that way makes me believe we will give many offenses many problems with him at the line and Taylor looming in the secondary. This coming from someone from "the big easy"! I remember when i first come to these forms for chatting about football stuff it was like a brand new Wawa's bathroom when you are on a road trip. Clean and smelling nice. Now its that truck stop sh1tter with the glory hole cut in the side with a guy named Cleetis begging you to use it.
