aterry1979
The field looks like the old Giants/Jets turf about 3-4 years ago. Its all torn up and Brandon Jacobs looks like he just came out of a 2nd grade finger painting class with all the different colors on him.... BigMikeinNY
I love this type of game!! Giants should run the ball about 30x in the second half, now way Dolphins stop the run, the field is a mess with all this rain. It's a European Soccer field, not meant for NFL in my opinion. It's fun though to see a 26 foot Jason Taylor though. About the only thing I have even seen Goose stand next to and look tiny. Do you think the NFL will be banned after this game for messing up their soccer field? I can see it now in the papers...

I'm not sure how much soccer they play at Wembley..... I'm pretty sure most of the major EPL teams have their own fields, which is why it's surprising that the field is so bad. The crowd cheers loudly for every single catch made(on either side of the ball). Very annoying and frustrating. Other than the 2 sec cheers, very dead crowd and not into it. Ursa Majoris
Other than the 2 sec cheers, very dead crowd and not into it. And NFL crowds are? Virtually every time I've been to a game the crowd has only been interested in it's next trip to the concession stands. I was actually pleased someone threw a bottle at me last time I went to Vikings - Bears. At least it showed they were awake.

Big John
So why was the turf in such bad shape? A couple of factors. First, it was designed for soccer, so the football conditions did more damage to it, Second, the roof has a narrower opening, somewhat similar to Texas Stadium, so the growing conditions are not go good for the grass and the rooting system can't take hols so well.
